The Utah Flash - Atlanta's NBADL team - select Garret Siler in the 1st round.
Per WFXG news in Augusta.
I figured he'd go to Europe. He'd make more $$$$ there. He must be pretty confident he came close to making the squad.

I had no idea. Looks like they are the D-Leage team for both the Hawks and the Jazz.
Also, they have some cute dancers...

I'm glad Siler is getting a chance to hone his skills. Maybe we'll see him as soon as next year.

I don't think Mario was drafted. I can't seem to find him on any of the lists that I have seen.

While the Hawks are affiliated with the Flash, this isn't a move by Sund. Siler is not affiliated with the Hawks at all, he is affiliated with the Flash which is a team where we could send our players. So aside from Siler potentially playing with Hunter in the NBDL, thats about as close that Siler will come to play with the Hawks currently.
That being said, its still possible Siler could become affiliated with the Hawks, but we share the Utah Flash. Really our only "affiliation" with the Flash is that if we wanted to send a player to the NBDL for PT, it would be with the Flash. So I wouldn't read too much into this move.

Do you prefer to be called dream killer or hope smasher?
Thanks for clarifying that for us HF!

Siler was quoted as saying Woodrow really likes him, wanted to keep him on the roster but ownership decided they wanted to only go with 13 players - leaving the last 2 roster spots open.

Dream killer probably works best in this situation.
If you like Siler as a person this is good for him because he isn't tied to the Jazz or Hawks and can get a 10-day from any team in the NBA. But if you purely like him from a Hawks standpoint, then don't get too excited because 29 other teams could pick him up.
