  1. The schedule is relatively light really IMO until February. Now is the time to go on a good run or it's probably not happening.

  2. We've just committed long-term to Millsap. We need to do the same to Horford this offseason, And, we're gonna have to choose between Dennis and Jeff. Dennis is 5 years younger than Teague and from Europe (therefore, he is like 8 "basketball years" younger than Teague). He can destroy on the pick and roll as evidenced tonight, Horford and Millsap are great guys to run it with, and he will only be deadlier when he gets a more consistent jumper. Dennis, Millsap, Horford are what we need to invest in. Jeff either expires and walks in two years or we deal him. He has a beneficial contract bu

  3. No, he isn't. Horford is regressing.

  5. Thoughts from Atlanta vs Boston game: Our center played center tonight. Hawksquawk members have wanted him inside and he went there almost all the game. He took, and made, one three pointer. His toe was on the line so it was only a two. But, for the most part, inside. Jeff Teague tweaked his sore ankle in the third quarter. Dennis the Menance finished the game and sure lived up to his nickname with his finest performance this season. Consistently terrible outside shooting for most of the game. Hawks played, steal the ball defense and went ins

  6. I'm not someone who posts a lot; any implication this represents a change of opinion is not correct. Horford has never been "unpopular" with me. He is our franchise as far as I'm concerned and has been since we drafted him. Paul is really proving to be worth the investment but if we can get Horf at a similar price, that is stealing. He is a highly efficient player. He is better than Paul Millsap. We will and should pay him whatever it takes but I think he'll give us the family "discount" and not make it too hard for us to retain him...I could see him taking a deal similar to Paul's...may

  7. So.. Horford is loved again is it? This off and on things is driving me nuts. Horford still isn't worth equal to Millsap's paycheck unless he plays like he did tonight on a consistent basis.

  8. Not really because of the 0-3 against the Thunder, Spurs and Miami.

  9. The suits at 92.9 and NBATV likely gave him a stiff talking to and orders to never say a word about the issue even in the privacy of his own home. I can imagine how dumb he feels and how mad he is at his "source".

  10. I agree. Getting your leg broken/ligaments shredded should never be a part of getting arrested, especially if the person getting arrested is offering little to no resistance. There's been this disturbing 'understanding' lately that it's ok for the police to inflict serious bodily harm on a suspect. I'm seeing a lot of, "he/she shouldn't have talked back", "he/she should've moved faster", or "he shouldn't have ran" to justify everything up to and including murder. On what planet is choking people to death, severing spinal cords, breaking legs, and shooting people multiple times in the back acc

  11. Good summary. Walking through a bad neighborhood is not a smart decision, but the responsibility if you are mugged falls hardest on the mugger. In this case, the cops were the mugger. Hope Thabo nails them to the wall.

  12. Don't argue Al with NBASupes. He thinks Al is the great PF in NBA history (better than Karl Malone among others). Of course he is going to think Al is a ton better than Deke.

  13. For positives I agree with both points from @Diesel For negatives I agree with @Gray Mule about the lack of urgency. The other negative is how bad the 3 point shot has hurt Al and his overall play in general.

  14. The lack of urgency from the coaching staff and, with the exception of Millsap, the entire team. Something is missing. They all seem too satisfied, waiting for someone else to step up.

  15. Obviously I really don't know and i can totally see this point of view. Looking through rose colored glasses I'd say that Bud didn't want to get off to a bad start and doesn't want to play a guy who's not showing it in practice as well as the guys he's competing against. In fact, he's said as much. So I think he probably still believes in him but he wants him to earn it. The only reason I still feel this way is that they had 2 years of pretty big minutes of NBA experience to evaluate him on. He's faced NBA competition and done pretty damn well. Guys with similar or less NBA exper

  16. I remember when Jamal Crawford and Ginobili put up their 1-14 3pt performances in the D-League and then broke out into stud sixth men.
