  2. More crow eating. I liked Lou but didn’t think he had this much left in the tank. I wanted playoff Rondo but we got a better Lou with shooting and still has the passing skills but better in the locker room. And 2 picks to boot. I’m on a losing streak here. First I was sleeping on Bogi and then thinking Rondo over Lou. I’ve been off but I’m one to admit it, I don’t care when I’m wrong. @kg01 more crow please. Can I get it in dessert form? This is the 2nd serving today, too much BBQ crow goes straight to my thighs!

  3. Nice try, Raptors. Play harder, next time! Tidbits! Welcome home, Hawks! I don’t know if Steph Curry will be a late scratch for this Sunday feast (7:30 PM Eastern, Bally Sports Southeast and 92.9 FM in ATL, NBC Sports Bay Area in SFO, NBATV everywhere else). But especially if he’s a no-go, this return to State Farm Arena must be a winning one. No one needs to process the narrative of how a squad that consumed a 60-burger in Tampa, and left with a 50-burger in a doggie bag, pulled themselves together and won in Atlanta tonight. Trae and Gallo are available, for all the more rea

  4. I like our core, I like our bench. Obviously there will be some tweaks but keep this team intact we are only just beginning.

  5. Starting to see what TS and @Spud2nique have been seeing in him now. Helps to have Lou handling the ball when 00 is on the floor of course. Assists and points in bunches by the PnR with those two moving forward.

  9. On the other side of the coin Rondo is supposedly getting his first action with the Clips this afternoon against the Lakers. Here at home am really happy with what Lou gave us in his first game with us. Am liking the deal even more now and with two seconds to boot.

  10. They will, their upcoming schedule gets tough. Add to that no Hayward now or Ball either. They are my top candidates to fall backwards.

  11. Well this has aged badly lol.

  12. Agreed, Dunn will have to come back and play really well for him not pick up his option. Snell's caphold is $18 million, he most likely will be renounced and signed to a smaller deal, something like the MLE of $9 mill.

  13. I feel like this next home period we have will determine a lot about where we finish this season. We play the Heat, Magic, Hornets and Knicks which are practically worth double.

  14. Assuming we've renounced all FAs: Snell, Lou..not picked up options on Goodwin and Bruno and Dunn doesn't pick up his $5 mil player option. Hawks have approximately $89 million in guaranteed salary, add JC's $10 million caphold ($99 mil) and assuming a $112 million salary cap....the Hawks have approximately $13 million in Free Agency dollars to spend.

  15. Thought it was fun for the 8 game roadie, so wanted to throw out a 12 gamer that takes us into 4/25 which is a Sunday game on NBAtv before a 3 game roadie. 8 game roadie prediction went to jazzy @JeffS17 with a perfect 8-0 record predicting each game correctly. (Not easy at all) Jeff is currently unavailable for a speech though as he’s in the trunk of @kg01’s car heading to Vegas for some fun . I’m making this a poll and it locks in 30 hours when we kick off against the Warriors or at the end of that day whichever it will allow me to do. Let’s do this. I was gonna

  18. Fwiw.... Wiseman has been better than I, for one, had figured he'd be in his first year. Against us, he wasn't as fragile as I has surmised he'd probably be. I don't rule out Big O developing into something special, but I'm more confident in Dr. J doing so, for now. (And why yes, you did detect a form of sarcasm in that last sentence. )

  20. OO starting to get more comfortable and has a more defined role with Nate in charge. Why I never took those "did we make the right pick" post seriously. Meanwhile in GS, fans already having buyer's remorse. We got the best big in the draft.

  21. Thank you sir. Happy Easter Squawk! Stay blessed!

  22. OO17 looked fluid the last two games. It is almost like Nate told him he was going to get a certain amount of more minutes going down the final stretch of the season. Just looks more confident. His free throw stroke looks better too.

  23. 9-3, with at least one loss coming to the Bucks. Hard to predict anything with injuries piling up across the league and not knowing who will be in and out of the lineups for both teams. Toughest games on paper are Bucks, Knicks and Heat. We are past due to get a win vs the Knicks in my eyes. Miami is another story with Jimmy back and OIadipo Sleeper games against any of the west teams as well as Chi and Indy who are bound to start playing well again soon. That being said, I feel good about every single game in this stretch and can see us winning any of them

  25. Uh, there are only 23 regular season games left for us do think. Really starting to worry he doesn't get minutes in those games at all. Using him in the playoffs would be an interesting risk if he gets little to no time on the floor before then. Would like to see his defense in action for us as I am sure Nate does, no doubt.

  26. Gotta say that Snell is making the quietest 12 million ever here this year. That downtown sniper thing he has got.

  27. Very injured bur just the same when the playoffs come around we will have a bench we haven't had for a good while. Am sure not everyone will be healthy because this season is just that way but we have so many parts now that we didn't have before. Nate will come up with a rotation no matter what as we just observed. Good days ahead.

  28. Ok I'm almost a day late but hear me, I won't call Trae out today. Kudos to him, he had zero turnovers last night and didn't shoot any ill-advised three at the start of the clock. Also, I just realized the Hawks can't win without their superstar. Great win, Hawks. I wasn't aware Lou could do any good for the Hawks but man was I wrong... Bogi is red hot and he kept shooting (and making!) 3s all game long, no shortage of shots in the 2nd half. Good to see Huerter hit a lot of shots, and finally OO is starting to show why he's worth a lottery pick. Solo and Bruno, though...

  29. Uh, didn't we have this conversation about his vision and maybe someone said his head is down like a ninth grader with the roundball in his hands? Really I probably have thought more of Bogi than some and more than Nate that he will use him as a distributer. Before Lou got here was personally sound with Bogi as the backup pg. Maybe not perfect there but we now know minutes on the floor for him really do count for us and TS may not be so much the fool. Not everything is a stat, yeah I know, everyone here knows that already.

  30. We have approximately $13 million (if Dunn declines his option) to sign a FA - that's not gonna get you DeRozan or Dragic.

  31. Excited at the concept, then realizing it's Grant Hill so it doesn't really count since he's a "Hawk" owner in name only.

  32. Some things I have learned about the Atlanta Hawks. Remember that commercial, My dog is better - - - My bench is better than your bench, My bench is better than yours, My bench is better because we have sweet Lou, My bench is better than yours. I read where Agent 0017 had been taken over by Lou and he has been coaching him already. I believe that they said, "Took him under his wing!" Very Hawk like !! Didn't they both look great! Bogie is better than many here thought. He's not wasted $$$$ money after all. Bruno desperately needs the G-league. Somewhere he can play every

  33. Rondo was too busy imparting mystical, point guard wisdom to Trae, or so we are told.

  34. One thing to consider when comparing to other teams' results is we're currently working on a minus-9 home/road split. The PeliCan'ts broadcast pointed this out, actually, so I'm not taking credit. 20 home games (11-9) played vs 29 road games played. We're set up well to make some hay in the back part of the season, especially if we get positive health news. By comparison, MIA has played 1 more home game than road. BOS and NY have played 1 more road game than home.

  35. Now there is only one poster on this site whose game by game rest of the season predictions I badly want to see. Congrats on nailing this one! I got the 4-4 right but game by game is much harder. You deserve to take a bow for this. We’re not worthy!

  40. Great games from two maligned wings on this site in Huerter and Bogi but Lou is the guy that stood out the most to me. I know this was a better than average game for him this season but he really had way more life to him than I was expecting. As others have said, that trade looks like highway robbery right now.
