Just want to know how we can look so bad one night against Orlando and then play a super game against the Celtics. Give credit to those Hawk fans wearing Hawk jerseys in the Boston Garden. I used to watch the Hawks play the Celtics in Boston when Mike Fratella was coaching them and I was lucky to leave that place in one piece, and I didn't even wear a Hawk jersey (just my hat) Just a flat out super comeback win tonight!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I so much agree! In fact, I have to turn off the volume to watch the game. Hate Tommy Heinsohn who has to be the most biased announcer since the late Johnnie Most (who was also a Celtic announcer). Does anyone out there remember how bad Johnie Most was? (or am I dating myself) :help wanted3:

Great win for the Hawks beating Boston- especially after blowing two games against Cleveland and one against the Knicks! I can not praise Josh Smith enough for his new unselfish style of play! I was probably his biggest critic last year and I am so glad that at last he seems to get it! Great work on the offensive boards by both Josh and Al in that 4th quarter! :thumbsupsmileyanim: So good to watch a great effort after prior dismal 4th quarter collapses. And of course, Jamal Crawford was the big difference! Bibby had a great game as well. Now, the only question remaining is Marvin Williams. Notice Woody doesn't play him in 4th quarters. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

:help wanted3: Of course we never should have lost this game tonight, but two things in particular really annoyed me. 1) Josh Smith reverted back to playing like last year's Josh Smith and not the new smarter ballplayer he has been this year. 2) Marvin Williams continues to be the invisible man on offense and just reminds me how we blew a draft pick to get him. (I actually hoped we would have traded him in the off season.) Oh well, it's just one game and, hopefully, we will continue playing great basketball.

DITTO, DITTO, a thousand times DITTO. It looks like someone finally got to Josh Smith! I really think he gets it now! To beat Boston in Boston is UNBELIEVEABLE! Keep it up Josh and keep it up Hawks!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I admit this was a dumb play but to kill Flip for this when he is giving 1000 % all the time is ridiculous. I think if we try hard enough, we just might be able to come up with several dumb plays Josh has made- AND WHICH HE'S MADE REPEATEDLY!!

AMEN, you took the words right out of my mouth. I'm not sure we lost the game tonight because of Josh but he certainly didn't help us win the game. Too many bonehead plays for a guy who looks like he will NEVER get it! I'm afraid the Hawks will not go far in the playoffs unless Josh finally hads an epithany. And I don't see it happening. :sad:

:beer: Great win over a very good Utah team and without Marvin! Mario, Flip, Josh, Al, and Joe all played outstanding! Best of all the team played great defense!!

:angel19: Mario is unbelievable- non-stop energy and great on defense! Now can we get him to make foul shots? Josh makes some outstanding plays, then he makes me yell at my tv set (dribbles too much and loses ball, taking jump shots). I guess it's Josh being Josh. Overall Hawks look great!

:angel19: Wow, outside of that last ill-advised jumpshot, that's the Josh Smith we WANT to see and the Hawks NEED to see if we are to make any kind of noise in the playoffs! What a difference a day makes! Credit goes to Woody on this one- getting Josh motivated to play the way he HAS to play for the Hawks to be successful. Now Josh keep it up! I really don't like yelling at you through my TV set anymore than you do (and my wife simply hates it). And even your made foul shots were a major importance! Also, another outstanding job by Flip (who is probably my favorite Hawk player because he goes 100% every night)! Great must win tonight! Now, I can enjoy my weekend.

OK, but the Hawks look much better without Josh in there.
