I haven't been active much and I apologize for that. I have thought about this post for some time. I can't keep tilting at windmills because one wonderful playoff run we *almost* won a title. That was going on 4 seasons ago. This team does not work. The only way to really do this right is a complete tear down. Keep Jalen and guys on rookie contracts not named AJ Griffin. Flip Trae to the Spurs for our picks plus some of the ones they control. Flip DJ for whatever the best deal is. Flip Hunter for whatever the best deal is. Flip Capela...OO....Bogi. Just keep moving them out, collect assets for future drafts and start all over with Quin and Hawks U over at College Park. This franchise is in a horrible place. We have no picks or a swap the next three straight seasons after this upcoming draft. This team is a play in at best with the holes on the roster. We have an owner that is beyond cheap. There's no easy fix or even a tough fix for this. It simply does not WORK. We need to go back to a rebuild. We have enough good players to at least get a jump on a rebuild. Going down the path we've been where the FO does basically nothing except make the roster worse so the seventh richest owner in the NBA doesn't pay the LT is simply madness.

One was that short, literally word for word, and the other was a little more wordy but it is what you've all heard: Trae could get more but Ressler wants to keep him and DJ is the more likely trade candidate. Both agreed the Trae/DJ days are over.

I honestly hope we lose this game so we can just have a higher lottery chance and pick. We're not healthy enough to really challenge anyone in the playoffs.

Edey ate Clingan's lunch in the game last night. If you had doubts about Edey I seriously question how you can watch the game of basketball. The kid is basically unstoppable on offense.

I'm even more convinced watching more game tape while recovering that Edey and Trae would be scary af for this team. Supes is putting on a master class in explaining why Edey would work for us.

Wow. They only gave me a local for the first wisdom tooth they extracted, the nightmare one that tore my lip and had Mrs. S headed to the guy's office to kill him with her bare hands once she saw me. I can't imagine doing the other three without more than a local so I did. I got the "twilight" stuff whatever that is. You are a rock to go through that bro!

It really boggles my mind how many NBA draft guys are so completely negative on Edey. This kid is just a dominant player. There's no way I can see a NBA coach not wanting to feed him in the post with how elite his scoring in the paint is.

Thank you, D. I have to ask...how in the world did that happen? I had all mine pulled in two different circumstances. First oral surgeon literally butchered my mouth to get one out, said the rest were wrapped around the nerves in my upper and lower jaw and was terrified to remove them for fear of paralyzing my mouth. Second oral surgeon, who removed this broken tooth, is the oral surgeon for the local hockey team and got them out with zero issues. Both times hurt, the first one was stuff of nightmares with my lower right lip torn all the way to the chin. I looked like a Batman or d*ck Tracey villain for about six months. But how did you get all of your wisdom teeth out with nothing for the pain?? @Diesel I salute you sir!

thank you everyone for the prayers. trying to take it easy. the tooth pain was not fun from the broken tooth and the slight cracking of the upper jaw to remove it has been....fun. Yes, that is the non profanity laced way to describe it.

Mrs. Sothron here: Mr. Sothron had a broken tooth that had to be extracted. He's having a reaction to the medication they gave him. The oral surgeon had to crack his upper jaw to get the tooth out. We want the pick this year rather than hope Sac can make the playoffs next year. This draft does not have the high value guys that are no brainers at the top three. True. It also has decent to good value at least through the first 20 picks. We should want to get a wing and a center with our picks.

The more tape of Edey I watch the more I like the kid. Supes is right, there's honestly no one outside Yao that you can compare him to. He's not Big Country (who ppl forget before his injuries he was a good NBA center) that needed a lot of low post ups in order to generate offense. Edey moves around in the post and finds little spots on the floor for a quick post up or a hook. His touch around the rim is elite. He is much better on defense than people give him credit for. We have two first round picks or should in this draft. I hope we take Edey. Use the other pick on a wing defender.

It might be in Bey's interest to take the QO if the Hawks extend it and hope for a better FA next offseason. I personally don't want Bey on this team but he plays hard. This injury so late in the season makes his playing at all next season in danger. I feel for him. I hope he has a full and speedy recovery.

I am so grateful that Tony Ressler allowed the FO to use the TPE and MLE to address forward depth before the season and during the season before the trade deadline.

This is a valid concern. However, drop coverage is going to let him stay in the paint.
