    People have short memories. That Hawks team when it was rolling was a sight to behold... also after Nate took over they finished that stretch of season with a 12th ranked drtg I believe. I can't find the sources but I remember seeing it on a telecast late in the season that under Nate the Hawks had the #1 (or #2) ranked offense and the 12th ranked defense. That's championship caliber.

    The play-in has altered the fundamental power dynamics up and down the standings. Every team wants to make the playoffs and almost every team is in a position to do so, so those "extra" guys no one used to care about end up mattering quite a bit. Look around the league in both conferences at the trade deadline... not a lot of sellers.

    No one is even a little interested in Gallo? I know, I know, defense blah blah blah... Fact is doesn't matter which 35 year old vet we get from the February waiver wire none are turning around our 28th ranked defense or likely moving the needle in any significant way on that end. Gallo can get hot a win you a game or two.

    Thad Young would have been nice a few years ago. We can't even get the mid level guys in their useful years around here, smh.

    Yup, Huerter is a good player. Numbers are down overall simply because Monk is just as good or a little better so they are splitting the mins.

    Yea, 9 isn't gonna be the number. If his " percieved value" is 9-14 than safe to say he will go to the one spot that will overpay him. And there'll be somebody for sure that will do so.

    Not sure about that assessment. Bertans is ridiculously overpaid in the year 2024 but when he got his deal he was coming off being an absolute bucket. Sexton averaged 24 ppg once, Fultz... that's a strange one. I think 14-17 is what Bey will end up with.

    There's so much parity the margin between teams in the bottom, middle and top of the standings is quite thin. Those pieces matter.

    I love Clint, but we should have moved him seasons ago. He's just not dependable anymore in his health and consistency, and hasn't been for a while.

    Atlanta continues to look like a different team the last 5 games, still, we need to learn to play defense or it's going to be tough to sustain winning

    Reaves is perhaps the best value deal in the entire NBA. That's why he is covetted. He can shoot and pass at a very high percentile for his position. As has been noted, he is similar to Bogi in overall production but at a much lesser price.

    No need to overthink what's going on with OO. Issue is simple, he's incredibly undersized.

    Yea, I was not high on Murray in December but he's really been playing at a very high level lately. It just feels like whenever Murray gets going Trae gets cold and vice versa.

    I guess I'm inclined to agree with you, but really apples to apples, can we really say Nate got worst results with essentially the same group of guys?

    The Lakers value DJM so much they are completely unwilling to include Reaves in the deal.

    Already gave up on this team when it came out the only reason they traded Huerter was to not pay a little luxury tax. Told me all I needed to know about this ownership group and front office.

    Sure but then our strength becomes paper thin. We'd be one backcourt injury away from seeing the Mathew's average over 30mpg

    Any trade involving those guys is going to net us a downgrade. No team is wanting to take on those contracts and give up a better player back. We could trade them for picks maybe we get a projected mid first round pick for Hunter but I don't see anyone giving up a first for Cap.

    yea, but how do we add to the frontcourt without subtracting from the backcourt. Our frontcourt guys have no value.

    Yea, considering the table scraps we are probably being offered, I gotta say i'm on this side now. Sell all the other guys, including Bogi.
