  1. Hawks are -4.9 when Reddish was on the court (next closest was -1.8 by TLC). There was a reason Reddish wasn't starting. I really doubt the Hawks keep that pick. It'll be part of a bigger trade.
  2. Korver's +/- tonight was +19, second-highest on the team tonight.
  3. Teague is going to be looking for a raise, period. His next contract will probably be the biggest of his career. We could pay him, sure, and also pay Dennis. But is that the best use of resources? There are going to be nights like the Golden State or Milwaukee games where Dennis plays more then Teague, or games like Utah where Teague plays more than Dennis. And we don't think we can really play them at the same time, so that breaks the comparison to Cleveland. Personally I rather upgrade our starting small forward or shooting guard position. Now if you think Baze is the future at shooting guard and has room to grow, and THJ is the future at small forward and can become a legit starter, then MAYBE you could talk me into it. But I am not convinced that both of those things will happen.
  4. Since Jan 1st, JJ is fourth in the league in three-point %. He's bigger than any of our puny wings. He demands some attention on offense. If he's too slow, we can always bring in Baze or Thabo. Doesn't he still have a house here? Bring him back. Like others, I was glad to see him go but he'll fill a need we have now, and its no commitment going forward.
  5. Unless it was the Lakers pick (highly unlikely), then I am glad we didn't do this deal. Dennis is the future, he's shown that with last night's game and this past weekend. He still has some growing pains (shot selection) but his ceiling is higher then whatever Teague has left (assuming Teague hasn't peaked). It's fine to revisit this deal once the season ends, then we'll know where the Sixers' picks will be. I'm not trading Dennis for a mid-to-late 1st rounder, but I would trade Teague for the same offer.
  6. According to ESPN he's 6'8, bigger than any wing we currently have.
  7. Also forgot to mention that I ran into LaPhonso Ellis (back when he was playing with the Hawks) and Big Country Bryant Reeves on the same day, at the old T.G.I. Fridays on Powers Ferry. First I saw Big Country, he came in with his wife. He got up to go to the bathroom, I approached his wife and said "he looks like someone who plays in the nba", she just smiled but never confessed to it. Later in the same day, Ellis came in with his wife and two kids. They ended up sitting at a table (not a booth) and his wife complained that it was not enough room for LaPhonso to stretch out. He spoke up and said it was fine, he wanted to defuse his wife embarrassing him. I told him that Big Country had been in earlier on and he was like "Really? No kidding."
  8. I ran into Dikembe Mutumbo a couple times back in the day. First place I saw him was at the old Delk 10 movie theater in Marietta on Delk rd, him and a bodyguard were buying popcorn before going into a theater. Then some time later I saw him at a cell phone store off of Johnson's Ferry. I remember his big distinctive smile, it was cool to see him. I met Jeff Teague in the summer of 2014, off of Paces Ferry rd in Vinings. It was late at night (I had just gotten back from a Braves game) and we were in a store that he probably wouldn't want me to advertise. He came into the store with three other guys, he was driving a nice Dodge Challenger. I told him "good luck next season" and he looked at me and told me thanks, my impression was that he was a little surprised he got recognized. It was cool, I was so excited afterwards.

    Gary Neal.

He ended up signing a two year deal with the Bucks for just 3.5 million per. We must have offered less than that.
  10. I would take him, he is better than Jenkins at this point and hopefully he would come cheap. Plus he would already be familiar with the offense. Plus he could be another tradable asset, flip him to a contender who needs a shooter.
  11. My hope is that we are trying to be the next Houston, just stock up on assets and wait patiently for a star to become available. Right now I'd say we have 7-8 players will actual worth, if you count the 1st round picks. Then if we are lucky, Ferry can pick up 1-2 more valuable pieces with our remaining money. That's a lot of pieces that can be packaged up with picks to get the star we need. With some luck, we are the NEXT Houston, or even the next Denver.
  12. I'm not so sure about Rubio being better than Teague, he can't shoot at all.
  13. We still need a starting shooting guard, unless we plan at starting Jenkins. We could still use some size and athleticism at that position.
  14. Sounds like we aren't going to see Muscala anytime soon. That's disappointing.
  15. I agree...if we are gonna blow up the roster then you need to go all the way. Tanks a lot.
