JJ will learn …all we can do is ask for effort and he’s at least trying . 4 all star or former all star talents …yeah that’s tough for a young kid

As many have already pointed out……The BIG lineup may resolve some of our obvious shortcomings/issues/flaws.

The Hawks are the only Top 10 offensive team in points per game and offensive efficiency that are not AT LEAST a 6th seed. The other 9 out of the top 10 offensive teams in each category of ppg and efficiency are a 6th seed or better. The Warriors are in the same boat as the hawks slightly but being out of the top 10 in one of the above offensive categories. just some additional info that points to what the true problem is this season which is obviously defense but also front court issues. Hawks need to take a page out of the Knicks and Cavs roster building techniques and really focus on acquiring physical and lengthy players in the front court around Trae & Murray. We don’t need star names in the front court…we just need some dawgs!

I don’t know what it is but Synder has found something that works for Trae & DJ and I’m loving it. Trae seems to be dominating throughout the game and then DJ has been the go to clutch guy down the stretch in the 2nd half of the season. I’m not sure if DJ likes what’s working but it is working. i do believe if DJ has things going running point where we are gaining a lead then Quinn need to leave DJ in the game longer and let that fire run out. You put Trae back in with a lead I believe he will keep things going especially as of late! Trae has been on absolute fire .

Yup! …I think an aggressive lengthy front court fixes a lot of issues. easier said then done but put some aggressive bodies around these two and I would bet anyone shit changes. tonight we got some good aggression out of the front court but it need to be consistent.

This is not a negative comment just something I noticed. When the bench was out there with DJ running point and CC/OO on the floor they had things going then Quinn brings back in Trae & JJ. It was only like 3 minutes top with that unit and I think we built a decent lead. Pointing this out because maybe this is part of DJs frustrations. Quinn has to let DJ run point a bit longer on the nights he has things going or when the unit he’s in with is responding well. Other than that I’m glad we are up and hopefully the chemistry stays good.

Tony Ressler should publicly say something about Trae getting snubbed. if Cubans boy Luka got snubbed he’d be all over the nba. smh…it’s like the hawks organization don’t know how to treat their star players publicly . or fields should say something, maybe even korver….kill the reputation that we aren’t a bad organization so stars can start to see a change.

The only part of supes post I disagree with is Hunter and not for the reasons that Hunter is not impactful. Hunter is impactful for very specific reasons. Where I disagree is that it’s just Hunter….IN MY OPINION the whole starting lineup has a specific impact somewhere that benefits the team if they were injured and the team is missing it during the games. This team doesn’t have any good depth but especially in the front court so perhaps any starter injured long term in the front court is more noticeable from the jump. It’s not necessarily about hunters impact solely is my point….we just aren’t designed to survive any starter getting injured long term, no matter if it’s the best starter or worse starter on this team.

The only reason Trae isn’t getting in is because of the team record . Hard to put a player in the ASG when you have a losing record.

interesting that Trae is more engaged defensively than a lot of his teammates this season. lol is Trae the only player on the team that actually likes Synder or something ??? likely not but it sure does feel that way based on DJs comments. -
So the possibility of him going to LA is still alive. i thought Marc Stein shot this down earlier today .

All I want to see is Trae play with an ultra aggressive front court that’s long and athletic with some size. if we can get half of that, Trae can win here.

Bogi is Traes perfect backcourt mate offensively under Synder. I’ve been knowing Murray would have to be traded months ago but my thread was ignored. Yesterday’s game speaks volumes though. Murray didn’t even listen to Synder and the arguments are getting bad. murray and Synder are fighting almost publicly…can you imagine if Trae did that ???

This loss with a career night for Luka in Traes city likely is the last straw. Trae is embarrassed I’m sure he’s just playing it off in public. the team chemistry has to have hit a wall all around. This isn’t one of those it just 1 game sayings

Yup exactly that’s when the arguing started. It’s funny to me that Trae is more engaged defensively than Murray is these days. Murray was supposed to be the point of attack on defense once Synder decided to double and for whatever reason Murray wouldn’t do it. now that is pretty damn concerning…forget the fact that we suck defensively, for Murray to not even go with the game plan to get stops is a very bad look. if Trae did that this board would be blowing up right now.

Damn maybe this why Synder don’t make adjustments. They started doubling and now it’s 3 people constantly running towards Luka. smh….Murray won’t play the point of attack for you guys see that argument with Murray and Synder ???? Man !

Synder expect his players to guard and play great defense 1 on 1 and makes no adjustments. I really don’t understand how the Synder is at the 10 minute mark in the 4th and now he sends doubles on Luka after he drops 60 pts up to this point

Correct me if I’m wrong here but doesn’t Tony and his wife Jami have ties to the lakers ? I thought at one point before they purchased the hawks they were both long time laker fans who went to all the games .
