  1. Guys, I'm completely stunned how much you ar underrating some teams. Cleveland has not only got Bynum, they have an all-star PG on Irving, and up and coming SG on Waiters, they will have a healthy Varejao, Tristan Thompson, Zeller, Gee plus they added three very good players on Anthony Bennett, Jarret Jack and Karasev, they are fairly better than us. Nearly anyone of that list would be a starter on our team. This is a young team that will become better every year. Detroit has got so much better, Knight and Stuckey will be helped by Billups and Caldwell-Pope that will provide exactly what they lack. Drummond is going to be the best center on the league in 2-3 years and a frontcourt of Smith, Monroe and Drummond is just too much for us. Milwaukee has so much talent... Sanders and Henson will be improving next year, we would be salivating with that frontcourt and dreaming with a ring, Ilyasova, Mayo and Jennings fit well, Ridnour, Delfino, Adekotunbo and Pachulia are a good second unit. I think we can be tied with them, at best on my opinion.... Washington will have John Wall healthy from the beginning, Beal and Porter are terrific young wings, Hilario, Seraphin and Okafor are really solid and they have a deep bench with Maynor, Webster, Ariza, Glen Rice Jr, Seraphin, Booker... Charlotte could become a surprise this year, the new frontcourt of Zeller and Jefferson can make some noise, Walker and Henderson are solid, Kidd Gilchrist should improve and the bench has some useful pieces on Ramon Sessions, Jeff Taylor, Ben Gordon, McRoberts, Haywood and Biyombo. The truth about us is that Milsap is worst than Smith, specially on defense, and he cannot play the SF position as Smith something that gave us a lot of wins, even if we think he is not good at SF Milsap will be worst, Korver will not be playing for a contract, Devin Harris will also be missed because we don't have anyone to defend at SG, Hawks are not better with Lou, we were 22-17 when he injured the knee and a backourt of Teague and Lou cannot play too much time... we are very weak on the wing to defend a big SF withoiut Smith and cannot stop a big center... this will tell you guys how valuable are Teague and Horford on the league getting 44 wins, because the talent surrounding them except Smith is just very poor if you compare it with the teams above. Making the playoffs depends on Jenkins becoming a reliable starter at SG, been capable of scoring efficiently, we know he will not defend well, but at least has the size to not been posted, and DeMarre Carroll becoming a good starter been capable to play 25-30 mpg stopping the best wing on the opposing team at least we make a big move...
  2. I don't think is accurate, we are worst than that, we are worst than last year, we are so weak on the wings that we will be destroyed all nights. On defense we are even weaker protecting the paint, I don't think we will make the playoffs, or will be 8th seed at best. We have some good players, but they simply do not fit well. There are some teams that have improved a lot on the East: Detroit, Washington and Cleveland, even Charlotte has improved a lot. Right now the ranking on the east would be Miami, Indiana, Chicago, Brooklin, New York, Detroit, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Washington, Toronto, Boston, Charlotte, Orlando, Philadelphia. There is a good chance Washington or Toronto get ahead of us.
  3. Another player I would consider is Austin Daye, long, athletic, good shooter, good rebounder.... needs to add strength and learn how to play some effective defense but would also add something we don't have
  4. Ronnie Brewer would be a good fit with Korver at the starting unit, provides what we lack.
  5. We need a wing, as a FA Ronnie Brewer is the best fit, he could compliment Korver as a starting unit allowing Jenkins and DMC coming of the bench, two balanced duos.NY is said to be shopping Shumpert, I wonder if we could get him...About centers Byron Mullens could also be serviceable.
  6. I understand what a Pg is, Conley has been starting for 7 seasons, Jeff just 2, if we compare the stats at a similar age, Jeff is better, if we compare impact at a similar age, Jeff is better, Jeff has been improving all the years, I agree Conley is better defensively but on offense Jeff is already better and the gap will be bigger this year.About Holiday has been already discussed, he is not better scorer, needs a lot of shots to score, TO prone...
  7. No way, definately worse than: Paul, Rose, Deron, Westbrook, Irving, Curry, Rondo, Wall, Parker, Rubio, Lillard ,Lawson.About the same as Conley and HolidayDefinately better than Dragic, Jennings, Hill, Walker.... Calderon, Lowry???(you kidding right?)
  8. No, Ferry said they were looking for a wing and a big after signing Brand.
  9. Calm down guys, you guys are considering a guy that is averaging 5,8 ast and 3.5 TO per game the next Rajon Rondo, he is also shooting 0,300%. The guy is good, I like the tools he has but by no means he is ready to start on the NBA, he even has not been able to dominate at Summer league, it will take time to develop him. Teague is a starting PG on the league and a very good one, he is on the top 15 on the league, let's develop the kid, if he proves that is a starting PG, we could always trade a fantastic player like Teague to obtain value at other position.
  10. I think his rights belong to NY Knicks, selected on 2nd round on last year's draft, how can we offer a contract to a guy that we don't owe the draft rights?
  11. Ummm I think we are going to need 2 new guys anyway, we just have 12 players, 2 been Cunningam and Muscala...
  12. Ferry has already said that we will sign a wing and a big
  13. I would consider Aldridge and anyone of McCollum, Leonard or Matthews for Horford.
  14. I think Dalembert is equal defender, besides he can try to stop guys like Hibbert, Howard... Brand will not be able to hold the position against them. Right now we have no answer for them, not saying Zaza was the answer, in fact as I already explained I think Brand is much better, at least defensively but we need someone that can stay in front of big centers.
  15. We desperately need size, I hope we could sign Dalembert or Oden but after Brand's signature I guess it's going to be really difficult to get it, I hope we get Aldrich or Mozgov though, we have been lacking a true 7 footer for 10 years, it's about time to try a young fella.
  16. I think 4m$ is too much for Brand, probably not because he does not deserve it but because we need something else, we need more size and right now we are undersized at Center. However is difficult to argue about the comparison with Zaza, Brand provides much better defensive stats on blocks and steals, nearly identical rebounding and excactly the same shooting percentages, the problem is that we really need size, I hope we can sign Dalembert or Oden but I guess we have invested too much on Brand.
  17. I would be reallistic, we are not going to sign Pekovic, Dalembert, Oden, Wright, Aldrich or Mozgov are more reallistic options and even I doubt Dalembert or Oden would consider us.
  18. In my opinion Dally, Oden and Brandan Wright are better players and I think Aldrich will be better also.
  19. I think he will be at SF what Ivan Johnson was at PF last year, hard working guy that can do a little bit of everything and can defend well. I think that is a fair comparison, the new Ivan at SF.
  20. Ferry said yesterday they are looking for a big. What is left on the FA market? Listing them by my preference order - Samuel Dalembert - Great fit, good defensive center, could play a lot of minutes allowing Al moving to PF. - Greg Oden - For me still worth the risk - Brandan Wright - A little bit thin but can do the work. - Cole Aldrich - Made some progress last year, good rebounding Center that is able to block some shots, still 24, I would definately try to sign him so that we can develop him, he was a 6th pick for a reason, I guess... - Timofey Mozgov - Serviceable big.
  21. Demarre Carroll can do that I guess. Anyway I would take a chance on James Johnson, he is a high upside guy and could be very valuable for us.
  22. I would go after a center, I already said that a reasonable target is Samuel Dalembert, he would be a great fit next to Horford, would provide finally a true rim protector at Center. On the wing we still need help, we just have Jenkins, Korver and Carroll, none of them are starting material and are really weak defenders, I guess Jenkins will have the opportunity to start, also there is nothing left on the FA market. The optimum solution would be to trade Lou for a reliable starter but another solution would be someone like Ronnie Brewer that would be able to provide quality minutes, we really need defense on the wing.
