  1. It would be crazy though if we some how missed the playoffs and won the lottery. San Antonio would be sick.
  2. I like our chances of fighting through the playoffs. Our biggest issue this year was playing down to teams with much worse records. There will be none of those in the play in / playoffs. We come in as major under dogs, a role in which this trams loves.
  3. Can a .500 team technically win a championship? If we win the first game of every series and never lose back to back. Has anyone done the math? We may have found our formula to win it all. Lol.
  4. They must be working on Lamar details and don’t want anything to slip out. Lol
  5. Just checking in…proud to see nobody is in full melt down mode. Lol.
  6. We will revisit this after he is traded this offseason. Lol.
  7. The real benefit of this deal is that it now gives them the opportunity to trade Bogi for something. Why now, because he fully recovered from his injury and that is no longer a question mark other teams. Teams value shooting and he is one of the best. We now have a bird in hand going into the offseason.
  8. I have seen a marked difference in the energy and effort from Dre since McMillan left. I like the way he has been playing lately. I am a bit lower on Dre than most, but I will step up and say it when his is doing what is expected and more.
  9. Ah 21 pages after a loss. There it is.
  10. Uoh wee. I think I got it. This season Nate went back to his bread and butter coaching style which is to let his best veteran players play the bulk of the minutes in their predetermined roles. He was going to “trust them” to work through their issues on the court rather than making adjustments for them. Where his miscalculation came in at this season is that his best veteran players were still super young (pun intended) and relatively inexperienced. Add to that a new major piece in DJ who needed an adjustment period with the team. No Bogi (and consequently no spacing due to lack of outside shooting) spelled trouble. He reluctantly played the young guys cause he had to and even though they were showing promise, he still refused to commit. So now, THIS is when we needed him to step up and be creative, manage the flow of the game, call specific plays to get people rolling, leave the hot hand in, and switch his line ups based on match ups. I believed he refused to do that because he was tired and would rather fall back to what he was used to which was to let the “veterans” figure it out. When they couldn’t do it, that is when the team decided to get someone in here who could make the necessary in game adjustments and develop the young talent and use them in real time to win games. That’s my story and I am sticking to it.
  11. Touche. Nate preciate you you coming back to support Pierce when you thought you were done and then taking over unexpectedly to take us to the ECF. Unfortunately that meant you needed to coach more. Lol. Nobody can erase the accomplishments of yours and hopefully you left this team in a position to excel going forward without ya. Peace.
  12. I think you are realistic in your assessment. You have also concluded that it will lead to failure. That is the glass half empty side of it. The full side would suggest that we have a new brilliant aggressive GM that is making real time hardline decisions on how to build this team into a champion. It differed from Schlenk’s vision slightly and aligned with the more aggressive owner. I will begin to believe this glass half full side when the owner decides to pay the luxury tax when he thinks we have a contender.
  13. Incredible win. This is the type of game we were losing in the past. Every team gets up for us and tries to play scrappy hustle type of basketball to try and prove something. We sustained their punches and out scrapped them in the end. This is all I wanted from this team.
  14. Peo, you gotta realize the other team is being paid to play basketball too. Those teams are fighting and adjusting to us and are nba players that will not lay down. The difference in this game was we had a coach that made adjustments to counter their adjustments and edge out a determined talented team. The biggest adjustment I saw Prunty make was to take Clint out and let OO17 play the rest of the way. Clint was getting out worked (which is rare) by Claxton and OO17 was a better match up. He also called that last play to win the game. I think he is 3 for 3 on game winning plays he drew up.
  15. Ahh it is so great to have a hero on the team. You love to see it.
  16. I love this. This is type of play that can change a while season.
  17. I know he only scored 9 points, but to me this was Dre’s best game if the season. He finally played with the energy and effort a top defensive player needs to always have. He also kept that same energy on the offensive end even when he didn’t have or get the ball.
  18. I don’t know how I feel about bringing snyder in this quick. I hope they are not foregoing an opportunity to interview all of the current assistant coaches in the NBA to rush this hire. Also, from a resume standpoint, the two top coaches on this current staff have more championship experience. Lastly, how could Snyder assemble his staff? Everybody is currently working but him. I think is a good option, but why rush it?
  19. I don’t think that clip is suggesting Trae change his entire playing style but it suggesting the next step in an elite players growth. Quite frankly the entire team needs to move without the ball with more intention even if they know the ball is not coming to them. It creates more opportunity for entire team to benefit from space and angles. I have seen Trae do this over the last 10 or so games and it works. AJ is a natural at it. Dre is the worst at it. There is no bigger advocate for Trae than me and everybody has got to look within and try to get 1% better every day. Jrue Holiday does this pretty good. I would still rather have Trae a thousand over because he is much more talented.
  20. @JayBirdHawk interested in why you laughed at this. I know Shakes typically has the negative view if Trae, but that snippet above may have some merit.
