No way. Every move Ferry has made puts us in a better position moving forward. Building a winning program takes time. You can't knock Ferry if we don't land CP3 or D12, as they're essentially rejecting a team/franchise he hasn't yet had the opportunity to construct. In God I trust, but Danny Ferry is top 5.
::::IGNORANT QUESTION ALERT!!!::::If we picked up Hedo in a deal for Dwight, could we then turn around and amnesty him immediately? Or do we have to wait? I don't know how the amnesty rules work.I understand that may or may not even be an issue Ferry is considering, but I was just wondering.Apologies if we've already covered this, but I don't remember seeing it.
Over the last 20 minutes, Marc Spears from Yahoo! Sports reporting (via Twitter):

If nothing else, it's really fun that we're at least included in the conversation for a change, isn't it?
From my perspective, Danny Ferry has already earned the benefit of the doubt. I'm now of the attitude that he will make the right moves until I see proof otherwise. What do you think?
To those making the (I'll admit, logical) argument that Dwight has only said he'll sign with Brooklyn, I have to respectfully raise one counterargument: You're basing this on the premise that Dwight Howard isn't likely to change his mind from day to day. I believe we've all seen proof of the contrary.Put him and Josh on a team together. Suddenly they're hometown heroes and kings of ATL. I'm not saying for sure that this would make them both decide to re-sign with Atlanta, but I think you have to admit there's a chance, especially if Ferry is as serious as he seems about making moves to change this team.Besides, it's worth a shot. What's the alternative? Stay put?
I'm just waiting for a second press release, correcting the first by stating that they actually signed Ferry to be their new starting SF.
"I've still got something left in the tank," Ferry said in a recent interview. "I beat my wife in HORSE 8 times out of 10."
Hey guys,I posted a new blog on Peachtree Hoops today. My favorite line from the blog is: "I'm an Atlanta Hawks fan, which means every May, I have to pick a new team to root for."Let me know what you guys think. The Spurs, The Thunder, Math, and Light Beer
