Melo shows up though in playoffs.He cant do it by himself Pair him with a guy like Joe Johnson who can shoulder some of the load ..he will be the player that puts us over the top

Think that is a pretty fair trade for both sides.. Hawks get Melo who would then need to sign a long term contract .. who is he is not doing in Denver..Melo is a star no doubt but a star that Denver is about to lose for maybe nothing and a back up point guard in Lawson who would be starting for us. Nuggets get Josh Smith a potential star in right system..put him along Chauncey and he will see more potential Marvin Williams a nice player nothing more has also not reached his potential Jordan Crawford in 4 years can be a 20ppg game scorer if given the playing time Teague ...backup pg

Joe Johnson doesn't want to be here and hopefully the max contract doesn't stop the Knicks from doing a sign and trade with us I will gladly take Wilson Chandler and Eddy Curry expiring contract .. Then we can really make some moves and dangle the Curry contract to a team strapped for cash .. We can then make solid offers for Paul or Melo

It works both ways I agree but if you dont have those big men your not winning a chip..Josh Smith/Al Horford imo are not championship big men but neither is Joe Johnson at guard.. Guard driven league is cause the stars basically all played guard and the LACK of dominating big men is missing like it once was but this is BIG MANS league still til date ..Your not winning coming playoff time if you dont have the bigs inside..
