OG is much bigger and a much better defender. I'd rather trade hunter for him though.

Yeah I doubt this is the logic. A "soft rebuild" when you don't own your picks for the next 3 season seems like walking the tightrope over a vat of pink slips for the GM.

I'd actually like us to play Bruno over the door Mat(t)s. I really liked what he showed the other night when he got minutes, but for some reason he hasn't seen the floor since. Norris is an undrafted rookie that's never even set foot on an NBA floor. We need TALENT that can help us today not a development prospect.

We really don't have the assets to afford another salary dump. It means we won't be able to make trades for established players because we won't be able to match salarys AND we traded our FRPs to the Spurs so we won't really have much to sweeten the pot. We'd basically be putting all of our eggs in the free agency basket, and you see how well that has worked out for us.

@TheNorthCydeRises This is exactly what I'm talking about. Tough to fault Trae for this dreadful shooting performance from the wings (and 1 missed open corner 3 from OO).

He's also a rookie who won't contribute to winning this season and possibly not even next. He's shooting 27% from 3 on 10mpg. His DBPM is solid, but I want to see us bring in guys who: 1) Have size 2) Can hit the three 3) Can defend 4) Have a high motor This is the combo of attributes we need from our starting 3. Is Trae willing to wait around while we develop yet another rookie and pray he turns into something in the NBA?

It's because single game +/- can be very deceiving as it doesn't tell you anything about game flow, how other guys on the floor contributed, etc. In this particular example, Trae was - 9 in his first 5:32 run before he got subbed out. Look at the game action: MISS Mathews 3PT Jump Shot MISS Bey 25' 3PT Jump Shot Capela Out Of Bounds - Bad Pass Turnover Turnover (P1.T1) Young Free Throw Technical (1 PTS) MISS Mathews 3PT Jump Shot Bey 4' Layup (2 PTS) (Young 1 AST) MISS Bey 3PT Jump Shot Young 29' 3PT Jump Shot (4 PTS) Young 19' Step Back Jump Shot (6 PTS) (Murray 1 AST) MISS Bey 3' Layup Young Bad Pass Turnover (P1.T2) MISS Bey 3PT Jump Shot Trae had one turnover, hit a couple shots, and setup Bey and Matthew's for practice shots on the three point line over and over and over. The Heat were packing the paint and selling out on Bey and Matthews to stop Trae. Our "shooters" couldn't knock down the open looks that Trae created off of this defense, so now his +/- looks horrible. Notice how Bogi getting hot opened up the game for Trae? It forced them to stay connected to him, opening up the floor. We need guys who can shoot on this team to maximize Quin's offense and Trae.

Looking at single game +/- again... Trae hit the wings while they were wide open on the 3pt line over and over and they kept bricking. I counted 6 wide open corner threes missed in a row in the first quarter. Trae needs better shooters around him.
