  1. Garrison has done well in limited minutes. Leads the NBA in 3 point percentage. I don't see why Atlanta would get rid of him.
  2. And that's the reason Trae should be traded. It is not who is the better player. It is which player makes the team better. And I think that is DJM.
  3. I really dont like anyone from our roster apart from Trae, DJM and JJ. We have learnt this season from our injuries that the depth is just not there. If the other guys arent good enough, the team needs to be blown up. Another thing we have learned is that Trae is not a difference maker. We are not significantly worse without him in the lineup. I actually think our D has been much better and DJM is playing better without Trae. Therefore to expediate the full rebuild, i'll be comfortable trading Trae for a boatload of picks and a young starter. Get our picks back from San Antonio, an additional pick and a young player like Vassell for Trae. I would also put Bogi, Capela and Hunter on the block. Bogi is 31 and too old for a team rebuilding. Trade him now while he still has value. Ideally if we can get a younger shooter in return. Capela has clearly declined. Not sure what happened to his defense, but it is really bad now. Hunter needs to go too because we cant rely on him to be healthy. If we can get an asset in return, do the deal. If there is no interest, i rather not dump him for nothing and instead play him off the bench. Maybe he is a better player with limited minutes. Priority for the offseason should be a new starting center. Someone that is a rim protecter. I wouldn't resign Bey. He probably wants too much and we already have an overpaid forward in Hunter. Mathews, Matthews should be released. And I can forsee AJ Griffin getting traded. Quin hasnt played him from day one and I dont see that changing. My projected lineup SF Johnson / Hunter (if there is no suitable trade) PF Okongwu / New PF to compete with OO C New starting C / New backup C PG Murray / Bufkin SG Vassell* / New SG 3rd stringers to be Fernando, Gueye, Forrest, Lundy and our 2024 draft picks. So it leaves an additional 5 players to be acquired via trades and free agency.
  4. How much more time to we give Quin? We have gone backwards since Nate was fired.
  5. I get he isnt in Hawks long term future, but the guy busts his ass on every shift. Doesnt complain when he gets no minutes and is a great teammate. I'm a little disappointed they waived him but maybe they did it as a favor for Mills so he can catch on to another team. He is better than Krejci.
  6. This team looks much better without Trae
  7. I would play JJ at the 5 rather than starting Bruno
  8. Mills is definitely not getting waived. Can’t they just waive Krejci again
  9. Fields gives me no confidence that he has a plan to improve the team. More and more I think the old articles about Nick Ressler influence is true and Fields is just a puppet for the Resslers.
  10. Very classy of Fields to put the trade on hold until after bobblehead night
  11. So thrilled at Hunter's game tonight. It should boost the return we get for him at trade deadline.
  12. The Trae-Murray pairing doesnt work. Something has to give. Trying to continue status quo will just result of more than the same losses and inconsistent play.
  13. If Snyder wants to keep Murray, then I think they need to trade Trae to Spurs, get all our picks back and Vassell.
  14. I think it is quite clear that the Trae-Dejounte backcourt pairing isn’t working. Trae just doesn’t want to play off the ball or he has been coached very poorly on how to do it. When DJM is running the offense, Trae quite often sits at a corner 3 spot. He should be moving more when off ball. I’ve noticed Patty Mills does the same thing when he checks in, so maybe it’s a coaching thing. Dejounte is showing his immaturity with his social media posts, fighting with fans. Since his time in Atlanta, he has been as advertised on offense but not on defense, which suggests to me that coaching is an issue getting him motivated to play D. He obviously respect Coach Pop to play hard on D. Not so much Nate and Quin. if Dejounte is causes issues off the court, I think you have to get him out. But as others have said, don’t settle for a trash offer. If we don’t want D’lo from Lakers, then it is up to Lakers to make the deal work for Atlanta.
  15. Are we still talking about Luka or the head coach?
