I'm one of the foremost advocates for unifying baseball under the premise that
(a) the integrity of the game's championship series is flawed--it doesn't present a test of which team is better, but instead, which form of the game is more likely to yield a team that will win four games first;
(b) baseball is a consumer entertainment choice, and no one's favored form of the game should be disrespected as unworthy, and thus, neither form of the game should be vulnerable to being forever eliminated; and,
(c) there is a simple way that baseball has, from the beginning, resolved the dilemma every year in spring training, and which if instituted in the regular season, would once-and-for-all resolve the matter: Home Manager Chooses, or HMC.
