So no Simmons for the hawks and because no one values our players looks like if we make any trade at all it'll be a small move. So basically a bunch of hype for nothing. Oh well, the team needs to be fixed but if we can't get value I don't blame them for not trading.

Did anyone notice last night on nba TV that Grant Hill and Jon Barry were doing the highlights of the game. After the highlights were done Barry said hawks have won 6 in a row and are rolling since Travis Schlenk lit into the team on the radio, Grant replies with "also since the team traded Cam Reddish." I thought that was a telling remark. I would think Grant knows the inner workings of this team and wouldn't throw a comment like that out there unless there was some validity to it. Interesting.

You'll be waiting for awhile with the strike. I don't think the season will be starting on time.

They won't do it, but Nate needs to be let go. There are other issues as well. But he isn't doing anything to help this team. In fact I believe his coaching is making it worse.

Personally calling people assclowns or their opinion is BS seems a little overboard. Yes I know what Supes is all about and I appreciate what he brings to the site. I just thought it was odd that we are going out of our way to accommodate one person.

I understand. But maybe reach out to him and tell him to call it a day since he is emotional. Why should everyone on this site walk on eggshells for him? Like everyone else, I'm here to get some info and opinions. I've got emotional as well, so I do understand. But this Hawksquawk not Supessquawk.

So let's give him a pass to curse constantly at people, put people on list and ridicule people that have different opinions than him (like he is the be all end all on the hawks). Cool now that I know the rules.

Good luck keeping Trae reasonable especially with his representation. I think you have to give Trae what he wants the others you'll have to do reasonable contracts. Or do bundle trades to get another superstar.

Disappointing. I thought this team had moved on from these type of games. Second half and game 3 will be a sign of how far this team has come. They don't have to win but this is about being competitive which is why it is so disappointing.

After reading this thread, I'm wondering why TS has a job. This thread makes it sound LP picked out every player and TS had no idea who was good or bad. Wierd thing TS came from golden state where he was praised for his player personal evaluations. Even Jerry West was singing his praises. I guess when he got here he had no clue. Seems hard to believe LP was right on personal decisions and TS didn't have any idea what an nba type of player is in this league. This reads like an LP fluff piece. I appreciate you sharing but this seems like a one sided story with the only negative was he was a young coach learning the ropes. I think TS deserves a little more credit as well as Nate, but I guess we'll find out in the next few years. Because reading this thread TS and Nate will be lost without LP. Personally I'm glad LP is gone. I don't think it's a coincidence the team is succeeding without him.

That's why you're an LP supporter, this team over the last 3 years same mistakes on offense and defense over and over again, always players fault yet never addresses the fact why the team never improves on these same mistakes, instead of going into a diatribe on making a team feel you on defense, tell us why the team doesn't listen to you and contnues to make the same mistakes or tell us why this team has low energy games because that reflects on you coach, but go ahead keep supporting him, some guys are assistant coaches some are head coaches, LP has shown what he is

Watching LP post game not one time does he accept responsibility for the teams poor performance, team will never be successful with him as the coach, never puts the blame on himself always the players faults, never says how he can coach better

I'm not upset if Heyward signs or doesn't. What is sad is this team never makes a big time move. I mean a real big move. They have cap space and assets and are making fringe moves. They never dare to be great.
