  1. I don't mean to get into political/historical debates but this is just not true and it's rather silly. Anyway Pero's mother is macedonian but his father has serbian roots but he was also born in Skopje. So Pero is far more ethnically macedonian than he is serbian. Just because he has a not macedonian sounding last name doesn't make him not macedonian. He will play for Macedonia in this years Eurobasket staring in a month, so anyone wanting to see Pero play can check him out there.
  2. Like the guy before said. Pero Antić is macedonian. He most likely has some serbian roots because of his last name Antić. He was born in Skopje, lived his whole youth in Skopje, started his basketball career in Skopje. His whole family lives in Skopje as does he. He's been playing for Macedonia for years before he played for Red Star. He's played for youth teams there and so on. Just because he is a fan of Red Star, played there and has a tattoo of their supporters that doesn't make him serbian. I've never heard him say any where that he was serbian. He even complained when they made a mistake last year on the Eurobasket site and had him listed as serbian. I'm sure he has some origin from serbia but that doesn't make him a serbian. There were some talks back in the day that he might play for Greece. But he was very injury prone at the start of the 2000s and missed a lot of playing time. I think he even missed a season or two because of injury back then. That said, he will be a bench player and I don't see him getting more than 5-6 min pre game. To be honest I don't know why they signed him at all.
