  1. Can someone post the entire article?
  2. It has nothing to do with glass half empty.... You are just comparing apples and oranges. It's not logical to say someone is a better player because of potential vs actual productivity. Let's just be consistent with our evaluation, but overall we all want same thing-Collins to be a stud Go Hawks!
  3. Are we talking about ceiling between a 19y/o rookie and 32y/o vet or talking about right now? If you really are comparing 3 summer league games as a way to justify Collins being more productive this upcoming season than Sap would have been, then you are more bold than I am. He could turn out and be a surprise ROY, but until that happens, going off summer league games vs productivity I have seen with Sap even at this age, I will take Sap this season as a better player.....Again for this season!
  4. Sap has been a top 15 player in the league for last 2+ years and Collins is an unknown...as any rookie is. You are banking on potential vs proven commodity. I am not saying Collins can't be special in the future or Sap's play won't decline as he gets older, but as of now, "Millsap is far superior to John Collins" in the present
  5. I get it, it was a hell of season: 1) Franchise record season with 60 wins 2) 4 all stars 3) Undefeated during entire month of January at 17-0 4) Entire starting unit as "player of the month" 5) ECF berth With all that being said, was this actually a curse? Did this season give us a false sense of where this team was and how long to keep it together? I think we were in uncharted territory and definitely inflated ownership's view of what we were... Tricky situation, but the "rebuild/tank" should have begun sooner, but at same time, how would it look across the league if you tear down a 60 win team one year later.... This ultimately goes back to the question...Was the 60 win season actually a curse???
  6. DeMarre - I understand it was basically Sap vs DeMarre. Hawks made correct decision here to keep Sap. Teague - Like I said, solid exchange for a lottery pick that turned out to be Prince. Korver- Like I said as well, solid exchange for a 1st round pick, Sap/Horford - Getting absolutely NOTHING in return for your actual big time all stars is absolutely criminal.....
  7. Because this: "All Atlanta has to show for the 60-win starting five is Taurean Prince and a protected Cleveland 2019 first-round pick."
  8. He may not have tweeted rumors about Dwight possibility getting traded, but he was the first one to drop the usual "Woj Bomb" that Dwight did get traded. That's what Woj is notoriously known for-Tweeting NBA news out of nowhere and ones nobody really saw coming....
  9. But it's Woj. He is like an insider God when it comes to NBA rumors!
  10. Not a tease at all. Just sharing with the Hawks community.... I'm very much aware today, and the summer for that matter, is very big.
  11. Sorry, meant to show this....
  12. Fully expect Baze to be traded next. Hopefully we don't attach the 19th pick with him....sigh
  13. Agreed! His shot could still hurt us, but I can live with a few baskets here and there, cause ultimately I don't feel like he will really hurt us in this series...if he is like this the rest of the way. There has been a lot of talk about the refs and JR Smith, but ultimately, we scored only 38 points in the 2nd half on 31% shooting.... We can blame everyone else for the loss, but we can't expect to win with those numbers. I expect a better effort from our guys and hopefully we can keep Thompson off the glass some too!
  14. Very rarely do I post, but I been reading Hawksquawk for years now. Love hearing everyone's input! Just got an alert that Kyrie missed shootaround today to undergo further treatment and is questionable tonight. Teague and Dennis pretty much had their way with Kyrie when he was on the floor, so is this actually good or bad? Would it be better for us if he actually did play? One less defender on the floor.... Thoughts?
  15. Long time reader, first time posting. Thought everyone would enjoy this... Go Hawks!
