  1. A lot of the core is with Adidas - Trae, John, Bogi, Cooper. I'm not sure who Kevin , OO or Hunter are with. Cam is with Nike.
  2. Looks like others have noticed it's tampering too.
  3. EDIT: I should say we don't have to trade any of the young core this season without running it back to see what we actually need. Also, if the right player becomes available then of course we may have to part with someone. I'm just not willing to do it before I see how the teams perform with this young core.
  4. When I say keep the core, I mean we don't have to trade anyone in the next two seasons. After then, we'll have a better idea who should be moved if anyone. Some just want to trade before realizing who we should trade or if we need to trade at all. What if next year we win a championship? Do you jettison Cam, Heurter, JC, OO, or Hunter off because you're afraid of the luxury tax or want another "star" player?
  5. He may be better, but he doesn't make the heat significantly better. Lowry's no longer an All Star guard in my opinion. Maybe it was the COVID year and the losing that made him look average out there?
  6. Maybe because Lowry is a free agent and Woj is reporting on the Heat's plan to attain him? I'm just talking though cause it does seem like tampering.
  7. I was listening to a podcast on Jalen today. I was surprised to hear that in catch and shoot attempts (2 &3's) he was in the 99th percentile for college players by shooting 59%. He has a significant amount of work to do off the dribble, but the first year or two if he can hit spot up shots, he'll get more playing time. Sharife - He shot the ball much better in the EBYL from three he was 20 of 57 or 35%. That's respectable enough to make teams guard you and if a team is forced to guard him on the perimeter, it'll open up so much of his game. A's for both these guys.
  8. This won't make the heat significantly better in my opinion.
  9. Not sure how sourced this guy is (Jake Fischer) Not sure why Houston would do that.
  10. He's a 7 footer, not sure the Hawks want to take a flyer on him though.
  11. When did his foot injury occur during the season?
  12. This is true. I can't wait to see them in summer league. The reason Jalen fell was off the court stuff. The talent is undeniable though.
  13. That's fine and I see your point clearly. I just don't want to mess up the locker room dynamic too much, but that's just me and liking stability. I understand our young guys are probably pretty good leaders, but every young championship team has one or two old vets on it and that's why I'm okay bringing both back. The main question is for how long? I'd say this season for sure. Anything beyond that is where the debate begins.
  14. He controlled the game in transition. His halfcourt offense (playmaking), while good, still needs some work. He has a ton of upside though and his floor is pretty high in my opinion. He's just an excellent selection at 20.
  15. Trae still took points from Lou. Trae is only 22. Mentoring is not always about how to play, but maybe how to communicate things to the team and other off the court situations. I wasn't referring to Trae specially when I was talking about Lou's leadership, but the other young guards (players) we have on the roster. Lou was a good presence in our locker room, I have no problem bringing him back. We are literally talking about the 15th roster spot. Lou coming back does not stop us from getting a serviceable back up center. It may cause a Skyler Mays or Nathan Night not get a contract on the big team, but I'm fine with that.
  16. If he's coming back for the Vet minimum on a two year deal, I don't mind having him here for mentoring purposes and he may be serviceable in pinch if Wright isn't brought back. That's why I voted I'm okay with bringing him back on a multiyear deal. You bring up a valid point of the team option which would be ideal. I don't believe you can get him on a vet minimum with a team option for the second year though. This is a valid point, but Trae really likes Lou and a couple more years of good leadership in the lockerroom won't be a bad thing.
  17. Agreed. I've watched more breakdowns of him and Sharife and the Hawks killed this draft. Jalen has two-way potential. I'd love to see him in the short roll when Trae is traped and then you have him passing it to a JC, Capela, Bogi, Huerter, Reddish, Gallo. I'm loving this pick more and more Sharife, I wasn't the highest on him at 20, but getting his type of talent at 48 is bonkers. The more film I watch, the more I believe he'll be one of, if not the, best backup point guards within the next two seasons. I can't wait to see these young guys in summer league.
  18. He's still too pessimistic for my liking, but you are right.
  19. Pretty sure it was Pat C. getting most of those offensive rebounds or another of their guards or wings getting them. Our bigs were busy with help defense. This is why I believe Hunter and Reddish will help defensive rebounding because they are much bigger bodies, better perimeter defenders which will allow JC and Capela to stay in better position, and both have shown the ability to be plus rebounders for their position. Collins in 29.8 minutes had rebound totals of 15, 8, 8, 7, 8 and 11. That's an average of 9.5 rebounds per game in slightly less than 30 minutes. Collins rebounded fine. Capella was at 10.3, but most of that was do to the 19 in game one. I'd just like to see how we do with Hunter and Reddish before declaring we need to revamp our entire front court when Milwaukee's been one of the best rebounding teams for the past three years. That's not saying I don't want to add a bigger center, I do. I just hate all this blaming specific players for losing to the NBA champs. There's more going on than just the bigs. If they are out of position helping our porous perimeter defense, it's not necessarily the bigs fault the offensive rebound was given up.
  20. Pretty high. I believe you can get Kevin on a really good deal this summer. He showed a lot in the playoffs before I believe he just ran out of gas.
