  1. I would love to have KAT but I doubt it will happen. KAT is a CAA client and if he gets traded it will be to the Knicks. Leon Rose and World Wide West use to be represent CAA. That's how they got Masai to trade O.G., who is also a CAA client. Masai knew O.G. was opting out next year and would sign with the Knicks anyway, so he got what he could, Quickley and Barrett. I heard about a rumor today that the Knicks will not make Mitchell Robinson apart of a trade for KAT. The wheels are in motion and I truly believe KAT will be a Knick by or at the trade deadline.
  2. Joe Johnson. He was really good but we didn't have enough good pieces around him. He had everything. Shooting, handles, passing, defense, and attitude.
  3. I hope he clears waivers and we sign him to a two-way deal.
  4. I went with Trae, KAT, and DJM as the best because the offense would be hard to stop but the defense would be the main issue unless we were able to keep OO. I think the worst would be Trae, JB, and DJM because the lineup would be to redundant for me. I would prefer the Trae, Siakam, DJM more than Trae, Jaylen, DJM because of the damage that Siakam could do inside, off the dribble, and on defense.
  5. Yes. Dominique Wilkins was the greatest Atlanta Hawk of all-time. Many people just automatically think that Nique was only a dunker. The man had a nice jumper and outstanding low post game. Al Horford was one of the most consistent players in his prime but certainly not the best. Mark Pruce was good but he was defintely not Steve Nash. Price was a great shooter but he didn't have the passing skills of Nash and he played at a slower tempo if I remember correctly. I definitely go by the eye test.
  6. Coach: Mike Fratello Dikembe Mutombo and Al Horford PF: Bob Petit and Kevin Willis SF: Dominique Wilkins and Lou Hudson SG: Joe Johnson and Steve Smith PG: Trae Young and Pistol Pete Maravich I know you just asked for 10 so I gave you my 10. I'm also giving you my third team: Walt Bellamy, PF: Paul Millsap, SF Cliff Hagen, SG Joe Caldwell, and PG Mookie Blaylock
  7. Terrell Phoenix is close with 2 Batmans and 1 Robin.
  8. I still prefer KAT but I love Siakam's defensive ability, his ability to get to the basket at will, his hustle, and also his playmaking. Hopefully his 3pt. shot improves. He's a winner.
  9. With all of this chatter on the site today I would rather have KAT than Siakam but I certainly wouldn't mind either if the price isn't too steep. Please remember guys that most of us are just passionate about our Hawks and hopefully posters can learn to respect each other as well. How's that back Sothron?
  10. Thanks for all the fun memories JC. I hope Utah let's you pick and roll like the old days. I also hope you keep putting people on posters, as long as it's not us.
  11. I like Dre. I believe he's had a hard time coming back from those injuries. It might be a mental thing. At one time it appeared his handles got better. Dre is still a bargain at 20 plus million as a wing. He has to get more touches.
  12. I wasn't running away from this discussion, I just had to let my phone recharge. I'm an Hawks fan first and foremost and if we get KAT I will root for him like no other. My point was simple: Is it wise and in our best interest to acquire a player who has had a major injury history for $295 - 300 million dollars left on his contract? PS: Those players who might become available before and during the season and/or at the trade deadline IMO are. Giannis, Embiid, KAT, and Lavine.
  13. No disrespect to our insiders but it just doesn't add up. KAT is a great offensive talent and horrendous defensive player. Sometimes it's painful watching this guy play defense. He appears to be a great person off the court but he simply isn't a winning player IMHO. I would be hesitant to acquire the $250-300 million in a player who can't stay healthy. That's business malpractice. By the trading deadline their could be a couple of big time players available. We have to be patient and ready to strike when these players become available. Now is not the time.
  14. Neither team can find the hoop. We have about 17 turnovers in the first half. We're down by two at the half. I'm impressed by our team. They're really competing.
  15. TRW

    AJ or JJ

Great question Spud. I went back and forth but I couldn't pick one. But I broke it down to this: It depends on what kind of team I have. If I had a team of great shooters at I would choose JJ but if I had a team that was full of non-shooters I would choose AJ.
  16. Yes I am. The present and future cannot be evaluated but the past can. KAT has been hurt a lot and this makes me more skeptical of him not getting seriously injured again while Siakam has been steady and has a history of being an iron man.
  17. What you stated is true and valid but what's also true and valid is that Giannis can and will be offered an extension after this season. I don't think he extends and Milwaukee might have to trade him. Embiid on the other hand has never been to the Easter finals and he may be getting impatient. Embiid made the statement "I can't do it by myself". I think we're in a good position, regardless of what the naysayers and BSPN says. PS: Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and every opinion should be respected. With that said, please stop arguing with people who claim Trae isn't a Superstar. BSPN and certain powers in the Association are trying to tarnish his name until they can force him to LA. Don't you see! He gets slighted for two All-Star games (the NBA tried to add him when one of the Allstars got hurt but Trae refused and I don't blame him) and most teams call him a coach killer and a non winning player in public but privately try to entice him to leave Atlanta in private. Notice I said entice him. Kendrick Perkins is the only BSPN analyst who speaks about the nonsense they speak about Trae. It's politicking in its finest form. The goal is to stop the Atlanta Hawks success anyway they can to make their dream of enticing Trae to ask out at any cost. Open your eyes my fellow Hawk enthusiasts and continue to monitor the plot as it thickens.
  18. Not to burst anyone's bubble about trading for KAT. I think it would be wise for us to sit back and let things play out a little longer. It would be wise to monitor the Giannis and Joel Embiid situations before we hitch ourselves to any other player. How will Giannis fare with a new and unproven coach and how will Joel Embiid like the players they put around him this season? I believe these are the next big dominoes who every team in the NBA are monitoring right now that isn't being mentioned publicly but definitely being talked about privately. New York will probably have first digs on either player because their treasure chest is humongous, but they can't get both of them. I wouldn't mind trading for KAT either but playing the strings out a little longer might be more beneficial for us in the end. Thoughts?
  19. All this Laker appeasing is too much. The entire league bows down to these teams and it's sickening. If Austin Reaves played for a sorry team I guarantee he would have received a tremendous contract offer with a poison pill but since it's the Lakers no team wouldn't offer. Also, I'm no fan of DeAngelo Russell but he wouldn't take less money like that for a team like the Hawks. The players association, BSPN, and his agent will have cried wolf but since it's the Lakers he said I'll take this 18 million even though I made 30 million last year. The NBA is pathetic.
  20. Even if Miami gets Dame I still believe Milwaukee and Boston are the beasts of the east. But if they keep Herro and get Dame all bets are off.
  21. Brook Lopez played Houston until he got the right offer from the Bucks. This is one case where salary cap money didn't win out. Culture did.
  22. We were never going to be a player in free agency this year. Our transactions, if any, will be straight trades homies.
  23. Not to mention KAT's injury history. He misses too many games. Even though Jokic dominated the playoffs this is still a guard league.
  24. Trade Trae for KAT. What, next question, straight blasphemy.
  25. I'm going to miss you John Collins. Your professionalism, honesty, and will to play any role you were given. I'll be rooting for you, except when you play us.
