  1. It’s not a media narrative though. I watched him, with my own eyes, for 7 games consistently come up short. He shot the worst FT % in the history of the playoffs. He’s pretty much unplayable late in games because he can’t hit a jumper or FT. We don’t need that in ATL....on a MAX contract.
  2. It’s not all on Ben, but that game changed last night when he passed up a wide open dunk with Trae as the nearest defender. Arena would have erupted. Changed the whole game. I don’t know how you watch any of those 7 games and say, “hey, you know what would make the Hawks better - trading for the worst starter on the team we just beat.” I don’t care about his defense. We have 2 of the best defenders in the league who didn’t even play in the series.
  3. You actually want Ben Simmons after THAT disaster? I don’t think we just watched the same 7 game series.
  4. Marvin. Although he was solid, we missed getting a hall of famer in CP3. I was only a teenager and I remember screaming at the tv to take Paul.
  5. Voted no. Can't see a pairing of Giannis/Capela working on offense as neither can shoot the 3. That team is scary on D though. Also, I want to see how far this team can go with what we have now. I think Travis has put together a pretty damn near perfect roster around Trae. Let's see how far we can go before we start trading 2 of our most important young pieces + Cam's potential.
  6. We're 15 days out...wonder if we'll have an update on Cam here soon.
  7. I'm not a Jim Rome fan, but this analysis of Trae was AWESOME.
  8. Just glad they don’t say ATL like the stupid Falcon’s jerseys. But I agree, Hawks looks a little cleaner.
  9. Nothing they’d be excited about lol The bare minimum to make contracts work + OKC pick.
  10. I’m all for getting Dipo if the price is right. Houston will probably try and get more than he’s worth (as any good GM should), but in reality, Houston is on the wrong side of the standings, he’s an expiring contract with a history of injuries, and everyone knows Houston should be trying to win the lottery - not basketball games. Unless a bidding war is breaking out, Travis should have some leverage here I would think. Fillers and a very protected pick (or the OKC pick) sounds good to me. Let’s make some noise in the playoffs! .....unless I’m missing something here and Dipo actually has a lot of value. But like I said, he’s an expiring, not getting the max next year, so can literally sign anywhere. The value then becomes attractive to teams competing for the playoffs this year who aren’t trading key pieces before a playoff push.
  11. Some good news on Hunter and Dunn today!
  12. Yeah that would make much more sense on why they couldn't come to an agreement.
  13. If we offered 4/90 and he wanted 4/100....I'm gonna be pi$$ed if we lose him for nothing or if he gets an offer exceeding that and we end up matching. Literally $2.5M per year...
  14. Completely agree. The injury history, lack of defense, and money owed makes this an easy pass.
  15. I was just reading up on this. I went into it wondering if I'd want us to offer JC for Porzingis. Then I saw this: "Mavericks' Defensive Rating is 11.8 points worse when Porzingis is on the court. Digging a little deeper into some advanced analytics, Porzingis is the second-worst defensive center in the league according to Bball-Index's LERBON statistic and he's the worst defensive big according to FiveThirtyEight's RAPTOR statistic." Pretty big red flag and I doubt that would work with Trae.
