  1. I can't dig through their picks now...but there's gotta be some value in there somewhere after the KD and Kyrie trades.
  2. Let me be clear, any picks we get back for DJM should be used to try and get a star to pair with Trae/JJ. We already committed to "winning-now" when we traded our picks for DJM. No going back now unless you want to trade Trae and tank. And that's not even a great option because whatever team Trae goes to, will probably not be in the lottery. Our best option is to try and build around Trae/JJ. If you can get Claxton and picks for DJM, you all of a sudden have picks AND OO17 who you can try and get a star for.
  3. Those PHX picks could be gold mines.
  4. Windy doesn't usually miss. Nets aren't a bad option for us if we could trade DJM + Cap and get Claxton and picks back.
  5. If we were a top 4 team in the East, a contender, no one would really care about transferring 2 FRP’s in the 20’s to the Spurs and a pick swap that wasn’t going to happen. BUT… The problem is, the pieces don’t fit right. We’re too small. We can’t defend. We’re a cluster f*** and it looks like 3 top 10 picks are about to go to a team that just got Wemby.
  6. How are we getting cooked so bad by a Hali-less Pacers team? Sad. Time for some changes.
  7. How long is this gonna drag out?
  8. Maybe, but your guy #12 is gone if we do.
  9. “point-of-attack defender” LOL Sensitive topic around here. If this were the case we wouldn’t be trading him.
  10. Does OO count? He’s been untouchable for a couple years now until a couple months ago. OO and picks might satisfy.
  11. Trae/Caruso/JJ/Lauri/Claxton We don’t have the assets now to make this happen, but if you unload DJM, Dre, and Cap…maybe…just maybe we would. Get enough cap space and just sign Claxton over the summer as an UFA. This would be the perfect lineup around Trae imo with guys who are rumored to be available - size, shooting, and defense. This lineup has it all.
  12. I’m not saying we have to keep those picks if we get them back. I’d hope we’d use them to get a star. But I haven’t seen a single credible rumored trade yet for DJM that makes us better. So if we’re going to trade him, at least get the most value possible back. And those picks are probably it.
  13. Spurs are easily our best trade option. Sitting at 14-21 with a lot of uncertainty about our future, those 2 unprotected picks and that pick swap are the most valuable assets we could get back in a trade BY FAR. Even if you want to put another star around Trae, which should be the goal, getting those picks back is the easiest way to do that.
  14. This. I want those picks so we can chase the next superstar who becomes available.
  15. We’re 14 and 21. We’re a bad team that’s poorly constructed. I’ll take the picks back.
  16. I don’t think so. We’re not trading Lebron here. Just get the best return for once.
  17. Claxton and Bruce Brown (and Lauri via trade)
  18. Guess my Huerter jersey in the back of my closet is about to get a new friend.
  19. Nets get a top 50 player in Murray to pair with Bridges and a good Center who’s locked up if they think Claxton will bounce. Jazz aren’t winning anything now. They get a young player to build around and a Suns pick that could be gold in a couple years when KD deserts them.
  20. Knicks have been a bigger clown-show than us past couple decades. The Spurs and Pop taking advantage of us is one thing…but I don’t see the Knicks doing the same.
  21. Here's the framework I keep thinking about IF we felt confident about resigning Claxton. JJ/Lauri/Claxton would be a great frontcourt.
  22. The allure of DJM for BKN is most likely pairing him with Bridges. But, a couple of their picks, especially that upcoming Phoenix unprotected FRP, could go a long way in helping us land another star to put around Trae and JJ who fits Quin’s scheme better.
