Most NBA fans are idiots who are just as biased against certain players are you're claiming we are in favor of ours. No one here is saying Trae is without flaws. I'm saying folks are choosing to highlight his flaw(s) in a way they choose not to do when speaking of other players. I think it's fair to be a little pissed about that. As for folks taking shots at you, may as well take it as a compliment. They don't talk about you when you ain't worth it. And I reserve the right to take shots at you. At least I'm clever about it.

Not every defense (see what I did there?) of Trae is some homer-ific nonsense. Defensive metrics aren't worth the paper they're not written on. Has nothing to do with Trae or any player other than Andre Drummond - the fact that, per defensive metrics(sic) love him is evidence enough that they're a sham. It's not massive. Stahhp it, supes.

It's shameful. Remember Westbrook was propelled to an MVP off doing something historic, despite his team being largely garbage. Not saying Trae should be MVP but this accomplishment should be getting far more love. Folks also claim they love guys who don't load manage. No love for Young. Stupid.

Defensive metrics are trash and everybody knows it. Folks just want to force feed a way to affix numbers to something that's truly not quantifiable and, instead of just admitting that fact, they all just put their heads in the sand and pretend they're real. They are a team measure, nothing more. I'll now get ready for the supes blowback ....

Well, I have to be consistent in saying that I prefer continuity so I hope we don't have a regime change. However, I must echo your sentiment after seeing Johnson play more. There's not much discernable reason for why he hasn't played at all. Collins' presence gives him the excuse of saying he wouldn't play ahead of him. Fine but it's not either/or. Duh, they can play together. It just would take some creativity, which our staff sorely lacks. It was an absolute joy seeing OO and Johnson out there out-athletin' dudes. Just being active and tryna dunk anything not nailed down. They made the Pacers look like a bunch-a teams make us look against active bigs. We were all waiting on Redd/Hunter to be the fancy-smancy forward duo. OO/Johnson may turn out to be the duo we didn't know we needed. Hopefully the level of competence (and more than that) shown by Johnson forces his hand. Sadly, I'm afraid once Collins and Gallo are 'back' they'll fall back into the same ol', lame ol' "rotations" that have netted our marginally .500 season. Lastly, I also see no reason to give the staff the benefit of the doubt on the rookie pg either. Team has desperately needed a second point guard and, unless I see otherwise, it's seems like we have a possible option bolted onto the bench. I never like management stepping in to tell a player who to play but, at this point, he's forcing management's hand.
