I'm perfectly willing to increase my investment in the team, if the team invests in itself. If they have to pay the luxury tax to compete, then that’s what they have to do. If you want to be frugal, don’t go into the entertainment business and don’t ask me to splurge on your product.

Shortly after the team resigned Joe, I got an email from my season ticket rep., who wanted me to upgrade to floor seats directly behind the visiting team's bench. For me, that would be more than a 100% increase in my investment in the team. Should I not expect the same?

Just as a follow up, as of last night my Directv guide doesn't have the game scheduled. There's another game scheduled for 10:00pm

I almost never post (as you can see from my reg. date & my post count) since I don’t have much time to argue with so many of you that I disagree with, but I do visit the site at least once daily. I’m in my forties and have lived in Atlanta since I was a small child. My first Hawks game was at GA Tech before they built the Omni but I didn’t become a serious fan until about 15 years ago. Never played basketball a day in my life but I did play both types of football in college. I’ve worked in the entertainment industry most of my life and had the pleasure of coaching for a living (not basketball) for a couple of years. I’m married with 2 kids, both college athletes and love watching them play. I love watching Futbol (that’s soccer to most of you), The Hawks and Falcons and don’t have any interest in baseball or hockey. Unlike many of you I don’t think BK has done that bad of a job, but I think Woody is a nightmare for most young players and would do better with a more experienced team. Love the site!

I didn't see or listen to the game but I noticed in the box score that Hortford had 14 and 11. I've heard the negatives...was there anything positive about this?

That's because the Chicago station is on a "clear Channel", like 750 is here in Atlanta. They don't have to power down at night because they have exclusive use of that dial position.
