  1. Cherry Bomb is by far my favorite JCM song. And R.O.C.K in the U.S.A is a great one for 4th of July parties. As far as Nirvana goes, I think Randy "The Ram" Robinson said it best.

    Home Crowd

I thought the crowd was pretty good considering who we played. Couldnt believe they dont play 'Toine at all. Or Jaric. That coach is lousy. He'll be gone next year.
  3. I really hate it that Smitty is going but its excellent news that he is moving up in the broadcast world. He certainly has the talent to do commentary on ESPN or TNT. Best of luck to you SS. Dominique has big shoes to fill
  4. I know we only had him for a brief moment but, Wesley Person
  5. We absolutely need to trade him. I'd like to see us ship him to Arizona for Jackson and Owings. Not sure if the DBags would do this straight up or not. We might have to throw in Reyes or Ohman. Tex just isnt clutch enough or hit for a high enough average to pay him 20 million/year. Or trade him for pitching prospects that are nasty. This team has got to completely overhaul its pitching staff with the exception of Jurrjens.
  6. See, thats what bothered me about the SEkou article. Sund makes makes no mention (perhaps the questions werent asked) about Chillz not wanting to come back. Considering that information was at the crux of why he went to Europe, I was surprised to not read anything about it from Sund. To me it indicates Childress does not want to be here.
  7. Quote: Quote: As I said ealier . . . . . the next move by the ASG is gonna be very critical. No time to give Chill or Smoove some half-arse plan. Don't get your hopes up. I can tell you how it will go. We will renounce Chillz. We will offer Smoove 5 years 60 million. We will sign Luke Jackson and maybe Kwame. We will miss the playoffs We will sign Marvin to 5 years 70 Million and say "we got our man". And for the next 5 years, marvin will amass 60 three point attempts total... and he will hit 8 of them! I think you meant to say Josh Smith will amass 237 3pt attempts and make 12 of them
  8. Quote: Nachbar has actually SIGNED...wow, whats going on? linky poo So what? A european signed with a team from europe. big deal.
  9. Although Tebow is an all around good qb on the college level, he won't be in the pros. My favorite QB's this year are Riley Skinner, Mark Sanchez, Jonathon Crompton, and of course, Matt Stafford
  10. Quote: No... I think if they lose to ASU, it will catipult some sorry PAC-10 team like USC into the BCS automatically because of weakness of schedule. UGA will probably be passed by some Big 12 powerhouse like Oklahoma too. Strength of schedule is only used to stop you from going to the BCS. Are you kidding me?! Arizona State has a good qb in Rudy Carpenter and thats about it. They will live and die with their offensive line. Prognosticators predict the O-line will have matchup problems with other Pac10 schools, so you know there is no way in hell they can match up with UGA defense. You saw how bad we beat up Hawaii, and Colt Brennan was a better QB with better receivers. This game will also not feel like an away game considering UGA fans are buying up ASU season tickets just for this one game. Whatever the line is in this game, take UGA to cover. They will definately make a statement in Tempe. The games I worry about are Auburn and LSU.
  11. I think Biedrins will sign with the Clips simply because he will demand more money than Josh or Okafor, yet that price tag will be more than Golden State is willing to pay him.

    Solomon Jones

With no draft picks this year, and limited money (I assume) after the signings of the Joshs, I hope that Solo is working hard this offseason to try and become "the big" that we need on this team. Granted, I am a big fan of his and want him to succeed with the team, so that may blind me to what his potential might actually be. Hopefully he is working with an assistant coach and hitting the weights. I think he would make a good tandem with Horford at PF.
  13. What do I expect? hmmm...18ppg....8.5 rpg....8 TO's a game, 3 of which kill our momentum.....7.32% 3pt FG
  14. Quote: Billy King has never had trouble spotting talented players. Rick Sund's drafts look like disasters. Billy King has never had trouble getting good coaches. His worst coach was half a year with Randy Ayers and that's only because Ayers was top assistant to Larry Brown and when LB pulled his normal Disappearing act, to keep continuity, King hired Ayers... But once he found that it wasn't working, he fired Ayers. Ayers was a .400 coach. Rick Sund hired M.L. Carr and Bob Weiss. Well ya know Deez, for all of the bad draft picks, coaching hires you claim Sund to have made, dont forget about the horrible contacts your boy Billy King hands out. Here is a piece from Bill Simmons column, "Atrocious GM Summit": King: I'm also a big fan of giving out absurd contracts that tie up your cap space, for three reasons. First, it drives the fans crazy and gets them talking about the team. Second, your fans won't complain that you aren't making any big moves, simply because you can't make any big moves, your lack of cap space prohibits you from getting quality guys unless they have baggage. And third, when people look back and try to put your reign in some sort of historical context, those salary numbers will jump out even more. Just look at what I've done in Philly: Since we made the 2001 Finals, I gave Mutombo a $68 million extension even though he could have been, like, 48 years old for all we knew. I gave $35.5 million to Aaron McKie. I gave $29 million to Eric Snow. I gave $18 million to Greg Buckner. I gave $40 million to Kenny Thomas and $25 million to Brian Skinner. I gave $25 million to Kyle Korver and $60 million to Sam Dalembert last summer. That's $300 million of contracts to guys who were either on the decline or never that good in the first place. Plus, I traded for other bad contracts, guys like Keith Van Horn, Glenn Robinson, Kevin Ollie, you name it. And then, last February, the pinnacle -- dumping three bad contracts for C-Webb, who everyone thought couldn't be traded because of his contract and because he ran with a limp. Now we have an aging team built around two past-their-prime stars and our cap space is killed through 2008. And we completely wasted Iverson's prime, when he was one of the best players of his generation.
