drzachary
Quote: .. just kidding. I haven't decided yet. Choices, choices, choices... Rondo. Here, it comes down to Marcus Williams or Rondo. Rondo is going to be an All-Defensive player at PG, and I have more confidence in tweaking Rondo's shot (and getting him 1000 shots a day in practice with NBA-quality trainers) than improving Marcus's athleticism. Plus, Rondo is simply more exciting. I probably would have taken Foye here if Seattle hadn't. In any case, Rondo comes in and starts from day 1. Lue can be on the floor at the end of games for free throws and perimeter specialization if Rondo never improves those areas of his game. The Hawks depth chart at this time: PG: Rondo / Lue / Ivey / Salim / Diener SG: Joe Johnson / Childress / Salim / Lue / Donta SF: Josh Smith / Childress / Donta PF: Tyrus Thomas / Zaza Pachulia / Batista C: Darko Milicic / Zaza Pachulia / Sloop John E That's 14 players ... and we still have a possible S&T with Al, or re-signing him to start at PF if Ty isn't ready. Al could possibly go in an S&T for a big? I didn't address interior defense much yet, but Rondo's D will be great at PG, and Darko is, in my mind, as much of a potential at C as Marvin was at F. Am I doing better than Burger King yet? Yours always, S-Belk

spartansFTW
we pick patrick o'bryant with the twelfth pick in the draft ... we need a center to develop with CP3, and we think this is the guy.
Lascar78
If we are able to ship AI, we will have Marcus Williams as our young star to run the show. We feel like he is a steal at this spot. If we are forced to keep AI, we will phase out the farce of AI as a PG, put him back at the 2, where he scored less but won more. Marcus will help the young talent like Iguodala get more involved

Since I'm moving the team to Vegas anyways, why not gamble? -Belkin
DJlaysitup
Seriously AHF...why would we take TT? Especially after he measured out at about 6'8". He couldn't play the 5 and we already have similar talent in JS. Actually JS (though still raw) isn't as raw as TT.

shug94
I got a PM from Joannes telling me to post the following if he couldn't get to a computer in time: "With the 14th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft the Utah Jazz select Rodney Carney, Memphis. With Deron Williams in place at one guard slot we were quick to solidify the off guard slot with our selection. This gives us a solid guard tandem that will get a chance to play together for years to come."

shug94
woops, Carney was already selected? So I think that the pick isn't really gonna work out. Utah and houston don't both wanna select him I assume. So you said you were interested in Ronnie Brewer as well?

joannes3000
Yeah, I totally overlooked the fact that HOU picked up Carney at the 8 slot. Brewer it is. We get a do-it-all guard with size that compliments Deron Williams very well.
