What is difficult about the search here? IMO this search is every bit as powerful but if there is some specific reason why you don't think it's as good I'd like to hear it so that maybe I can do something about it.

It is hard to say exactly what is wrong but there are threads that i know a certain search should pick up and it just doesn't, even if i search from todays date and older. The old search engine never failed me.

The problem is, Hawksfanatic, most of the classic threads involve Diesel getting out argued but not admitting it! And boy is it funny, too.

I don't have a problem with a Classic thread being a humiliation thread. My problem is that a humiliation thread where the intent is solely to make someone look like a jackass is not necessarily a Classic thread. It might make the forum become the Humiliation Forum where it is just there to keep track of how and when someone can humiliate a poster. Having a forum full of this would facilitate an easier way to have flame wars or to really demean someone. I am not sure if that is really what the Squawk is all about, just humiliating person after person if they disagree with you or piss you off one day? Seems a little malicious for a forum that is intended to be for Atlanta Hawks Fans.

LOL that's it. My memory must be going bad on me. I was sure that was a new thread. Thanks

No problem, you gave me the phrase to search for "Web of Lies" and it came up immediately LOL. Of course viewing that Diesel post shows a negative of the forum switch in that direct links to posts from back then will no longer work since those URLs are no longer in existence.

Don't think we need a whole forum for it, but it'd just be yet another thing that will/has gone wrong with Hawksquawk and another theme that we should all just put under the unnecessary theme. ;)

If you are always so unhappy with what has been done around here why do you continue to come here?

I hope you get to read this post, I just hope it reaches you in time

before you hurt yourself, I think that you'll be doin just fine

if you relax a little, I'm glad we inspire you but Libid

why are you so mad? Try to understand, that we do want you as a fan

We just don't want you to do some crazy s***

Seriously, if you're so unhappy here what's the point? Do you think I enjoy reading how you think Hawksquawk has gone so wrong?

Agreed, I'm definitely not interested in having a humiliation forum

Another point that is worth discussing that Hawksfanatic brought up is that maybe it shouldn't be an entire forum since the only way to get the "classic" threads there would be to move them from their original forum and that might make searching for them later on difficult.

That is not a big issue for me on this, I was just curious why a whole new forum would be created. A pinned thread seems like it would do the trick for keeping track of Classic threads. I really just thought it would be a lot of extra work for moderators and staff to create another forum. If it isn't the case that adding a forum takes up more space and time for mods and staff then it does have its pluses. Like nominating a thread for Classic status would be better structurally in a separate forum than in Homecourt. Discussion of Classic threads would also be fun and that could be a benefit of having its own forum. There are other benefits as well that others could see in having a separate forum.

I was searching titles only since i remembered the title. Now i know why it didn't come up. KB21 has probably clowned himself more than anyone relative to his post count. I remember one post he said "i post here because you need me to post, not because i want to hear what you have to say". Then he did his classic flipflop on Shelden. He was such an easy target. It got to the point where i didn't even want to bother messing with him because it was too easy, kind of like picking a fight with a midget. sure you can win but so what?

HawksFanatic just give peace a chanceI actually got this idea from another site I use. It's really not all that complicatedI think the Yi thread that took up the entire front court page was a good one. I'll look for the definitive thread when the Bibby trade went down.#3 and #11 for Amare maybe. There's about 10 Marvin threads we could dig up

See my original post on the matter. After this new Forum is up even this thread will be taken down.

?????????????????????????Having a bad day? ;)

Having a wonderful day actually. ;)Also, if we're going to talk about Diesel pwning members of the past and present, I'd nominate the topic of when him and Swish went at it in summer I believe. Not sure if you can call it a legit "fight" though... Swish was pretty much demolished. Swish was exposed, lol. http://www.hawksquawk.net/community/index....achel&st=80 :(

That was indeed a classic thread, I would agree. I don't know if I got owned though man, reason being, Diesel was sooo d@mn self-absorbed and egotistical it was humorous. The point in that thread was he would.not. answer my basketball question(s), but ah, well, doesn't matter really.

See my original post on the matter. After this new Forum is up even this thread will be taken down.

Some archived threads will be moved as suggested by you the people and any future Squawk Threads deemed "classics" will simply be moved to said forum after all discussion has ceased on the topic days later. After the new forum is launched there will probably be a pinned Thread for suggestions to go in.

That seems vague, so I am not sure what you mean. In the Classic Forum there will just exist one thread we can post in that is pinned at the top? Or will we be able to start new threads in the Classic Forum for suggestion of certain threads to be in the forum? Can we even post new threads in it to begin with?It sounds like all Classic threads are moved into the forum, are they locked? Or can they still be posted in?I must be misunderstanding something you are saying about this Forum.
