Bruno=worst movie ever

I can't believe I wasted $5 to see this crap. I thought since Borat was some what funny that this might be also. This movie is quite possibly the worst movie I have seen that I can think of. If you have thought about seeing this movie trust me DO NOT! I don't see how anyone thought this was remotely funny. It made me sick watching the type of stuff that was in the movie. This is the type of movie that is a career killer and I wouldn't be suprised if this is the last of Sasha Barron Cohn(SP?).

Had that movie not been made, testicles would have never been put in Eminems face. That alone keeps it from being the worst. I didn't watch Borat and don't think I'll be watching this either.

$5, seriously?

i was planning on waiting til it was out on video anyway. i liked borat, but i wouldn't think that it could be as funny as that. borat was so unexpected, the whole idea of it came from left field. hell, half the people who saw it weren't even sure if it was real or not. anyway, this movie definately looks to follow the same formula, so you know more of what to expect, so there is no way that it could ever seem so outragous or outlandish.

On Tuesday and Wednesday Spotlight Movie theatre(Greensboro,GA) has $5 movie's all day long so I've seen "The hangover" twice and only spent $10. It's a damn good deal.

I disagree completely. I think it was hilarious. My only recommendation, other than see it, is to get it on demand or rent it. I saw it only with three other couples in the audience, a matinee in the afternoon, but it's uncomfortable. If you're not strong in your sexuality, don't bother. If you're not familiar with Bruno....bone up on the character's backround. It follows the same type of shock that Borat brought, but more. It's jaw dropping, cliche', but the best I can do. Other than funny....

The Hangover was more entertaining, personally.

The hangover is a real movie and one of the funniest I've seen in quite sometime. I enjoy crude humor as much as the next 21 year old but there was nothing funny about this movie. It was pure trash,IMO and to be honest with you half this board could come up with a funnier movie than that trash.

Not my all time favorite or anything, but it kept me entertained. I had low expectations for this and only went because some friends who I hadn't seen in a while were going, I was pleasantly suprised.

I like the show better for both Borat and Bruno.

If you had never seen Da Ali G Show then yeah, Bruno may seem like a stupid movie. But I watched Da Ali G and I thought Bruno was funny, a little graphic but still funny.

I have watched that show a few times and it's pretty funny. Borat had some decent laughs but Ali G Indahouse was a hilarious movie.

Didn't you know that was going to be what it was about going in? I think it's pretty obvious from the previews.

Not to the extent that he went to. I didn't know that he was gonna have homo porn throught the movie. I just know I'll never watch anything that has that Sasha dude in it. He's actually quite lame Borat wasn't that good and this one has no words to explain it. Obviously most felt the way I do because on it's second day of screening(this past saturday) they made half as much as they did on Friday(It's first day of release) which should've been a sign to me that this movie was trash. I should've just went and seen Transformers 2.

Most movies decrease in revenues as the days from its release pass. I don't see how its "obvious" that most felt the way you do. If its so "obvious", then why was it the top grossing movie this past weekend despite being in roughly half of the movie theaters that its competitors were in?

Sorry buddy but your wrong. Most movies increase revenues on a saturday not Fridays. They made half the money they did the second day of it's release. When I went to see it after it's 4th day of release there was only 1 other person in the theatre. On the flip side "The Hangover" seems to always be full or half full even on it's second week of release. Sorry I'm not a fan of homosexual porn. I guess I'm in the minority on this board.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Have you heard anyone here say that they liked the movie?

I haven't seen Bruno at all but is it really comparable to gay porn? I got the idea that the Bruno role was supposed to be about putting people on their heels and enjoying the hilarity that ensues when people are thrust into these bizarre and awkward situations. I won't be seeing this at the theater so don't expect me to chime in with a rating, although I am interested to hear what people think so I can decide whether to watch it on video down the line.

It couldn't be anymore mediocre than Role Models.

Paul Rudd has some talent... But he is like the comedy movie version of Christian Bale.

The dude that played Stiffler in American Pie. I can't ever remember finding him funny. McLovin was underused. The only one that was funny at all in this movie was the kid that Stiffler was looking after. The ending was typical of these type of movies this decade.

I haven't seen it yet but I'm sure I will at some point. So far it has a 7.2 rating on IMDB and 69% on Rotten Tomatoes and there aren't a great number of movies each year that rate well on both sites.
