kalaps
We would all love one of the big names, but relisticly that may not be possible. Who are some of the second or third tier free agents that you would like to see in a hawks uni?

Guest Walter
1) Shaun Livingston, Lowry, or Steve Blake 2) Should JJ be S&T without a Sg in return?... Mike Miller or...........Flip Murray 3) Brendan Heywood Not much to speak of... Does Rudy Gay count? I didn't count him for financial reasons. gsuteke
I see raymond felton on that list - has he done anything in charlotte the past 2 seasons?
Buzzard
I see raymond felton on that list - has he done anything in charlotte the past 2 seasons? Felton is a decent 2nd tier PG IMO. Not a stud but definetely starting caliber.
frosgrim
I see raymond felton on that list - has he done anything in charlotte the past 2 seasons? There really isn't that much out there is there? If JJ goes, I would consider: Flip Mike Miller Nate Robinson- yeah, he's a bit of head case, but he can score. If JJ walks the Hawks are going to need scoring. Plus he brings some speed to the PG position Ray Allen- probably not enough cap to get him. But worth a shot if we do have the space Brendan Heywood- Would be nice at center. Opens up trade possibilities. We probably don't have enough cap to sign him outright Guys to look at if JJ walks or stays: Tony Allen- good off the bench defender, offense is OK Al Harrington- We have to get some post scoring, Al is about all there is in FA to fill that role. I would consider him a 20 minute a night guy now. Brad Miller- helps at center, though is likely a 5-10 minute guy now Ray Felton- maybe the b-cats would do a SnT for Bibby? Nah, probably not, but that is the only way to get a FA PG right now.
Admin capstone21 Posted June 1, 2010 Admin Report Share Posted June 1, 2010 There really isn't that much out there is there? If JJ goes, I would consider: Flip - I am not aqainst it but I just think Flip had his season with us already Mike Miller - I always liked Miller, he is declining fast but a nice option off the bench Nate Robinson- hell no Ray Allen- He is at the point where he will only go to a champion contender Brendan Heywood- A very overrated center who is going to be overpaid this offseason Guys to look at if JJ walks or stays: Tony Allen- He is not really a JJ replacement but would be a nice addition Al Harrington- - He does not play in the post. He stands out around 3 point line now and has never met a shot he doesn't like. Brad Miller- I wouldn't pay very much for him as he has no gas left. Very slow and not much of a defender. Excellent passer though and a nice outside shot Ray Felton- Felton would be a nice pickup for us. We would have to figure out to get rid of Bibby though see comments above

kalaps
I wouldn't mind Heywood, and seeing what TMac has left, at the right price. Even tyrus thomas as an active body.
T21
Mike Miller. Yes! Mike is the guy, no matter of the scenario... Other guys who could certainly help as roll players are Matt Barnes (decent D, decent J), Kyle Corver (catch and shoot for 10 mpg)... perhaps even Shaq, if he takes pay cut. xhawk
I think Heywood for the MLE would be the best we could do.
APE
I hope we can get Louis Amundson..great energy off the bench unlike Zaza for 3/4's of the season :headphones: Edited June 1, 2010 by Bruin
MaceCase
Joe leaves: Wes Matthews and Mike Miller. Joe stays: Ray Felton, Channing Frye and any bottom of the rotation big stiff.
