Economical Router Upgrade

Our internet is too spotty so we are looking to upgrade our router (also at the suggestion of our internet provider!).  We'd like to see an upgrade as our is probably ~4 years old but we aren't looking at anything high performance -- we typically just use it for surfing the net and streaming Netflix, etc.  

 

Anyone recommend any particular router or something with good bang for a reasonable buck?

I have one of the new AC-1200 routers and those things are blazing faster and reliable... But it definitely not cost effective at $100. If you are using it for streaming Netflix, you'll want at least an N-600. Linksys, Netgear, and Belkin are all good brands for routers.
