Admin capstone21 Posted February 6, 2017 Admin Report Share Posted February 6, 2017 It's insane to me that ot is decided by sudden death ... terrible rule ... coin flip decides the outcome huge choke though
Lurker
Forget the growth of the team, you've just reversed it completely after this game. There is no coming back from this at all.
Guest
Why in hell did we attempt a pass play (which resulted in a sack!) when all we needed was a short field goal to ice the game? I will never understand it ... ever ...

Gray Mule
After getting their huge lead, Falcons played "Not to lose" rather than the "take it to them, let's win" that they had played before the 28 points scored. Getting out of field goal range by being stupid cost Atlanta the game. They simply beat themselves instead of Brady beating them. Too little time on the Falcon's offense. Defense wore out.....

He has to be thinking about where he's going to dump it before the play even starts. Terrible all the way around. I'm tired of hearing about the friggin Pats and Brady though. We handed this on a platter and they got some unbelievably lucky breaks in this one. Maybe the rules have changed too because there was no arguing it but Ryan's fumble sure looked like he threw the ball to me. I mean the ball went forward out of his hand. Used to be that was an incomplete pass. I've also never seen 3 defensive holdings called on one drive when 2 of them were pretty light contact. And geez maybe having a super bowl end this way will convince the league to change OT rules. TV got the story they wanted though so probably not.
Gray Mule
THE GOOD AND THE BAD OF BIRDS AND THE SUPER BOWL 51 The good: Of all the teams in the NFL, only two made it. The Atlanta Falcons made it into the big one! The bad. Falcons beat themselves and Brady gets all the credit. The good. Falcons scored 28 points in the Super Bowl and had a lead of 28-3. The bed. Falcons quit being aggressive and played the "Laid Back" roll and ended up on the short end 34-28. The good. Had a tied game at the end of regulation. First, ever, overtime. The bad. Falcons lost the coin toss, never got to touch the ball on offense and lost. Sudden death seems unfair in a game as big as this. An entire 5th quarter would have been better but, with Falcons defense dead on their feet, it probably have been the same results - - but, still. The good. Offensive guru called a great game until Atlanta got to 28 points. The bad. Offensive guru called a terrible game after the 28th point. He's apparently gone to the west coast as head coach with their "sitter" QB who hates the USA and disrespects our nation.
