Yes, you can say Atlanta's FO is usually hush hush, but there would have at least been a link if there was an offer. Disagree. See no reason just yet to assume a lack of integrity like that in Schlenk.

Bankingitbig
That is a crazy good deal for Millsap. I was shocked when I saw that the third year had a team option on it. Always thought Schlenk's talk of "remaining competitive" was skeptical, but now we know that's a ton of BS since we didn't beat that deal. That said, maybe Millsap wanted to go to DEN instead of remaining in ATL. They have a better roster.

That means for Teague, Korver, Caroll, Sap and Horford they got a one f***in' role player in Prince? There isn't a bigger joke of a franchise than this one. They make me sick.
yungsta
This team was on the decline and has hit its ceiling awhile ago. I am glad we are being more proactive about the rebuild. If we have stayed our course we would be in a very ugly situation a few years down the road with alot of bad salary on our books.
Premium Member Popular Post Sothron Posted July 3, 2017 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted July 3, 2017 Losing Horford and Millsap in back to back offseasons for NOTHING is just pathetic. Absolutely, mind boggling pathetic that a team with limited assets and no appeal to free agents can be that stupid with player management. I hope we get some kind of SNT that hasn't been reported yet but my fear when Minn pulled out was that Den would just sign him outright. 3 year deal with the last year being a team option and we couldn't match that? Wow. I'm stunned they wouldn't at least match that deal to keep him here. If we get nothing back from him then all the people ready to blame the new GM need to realize it was BudCox that screwed this franchise for the next several years. Any asset back in trading Horford/Millsap would be worth better than nothing. Good luck to Paul in Denver. He and Jokic are going to be fun as hell to watch together.

Plainview1981
I feel bad for anyone that thinks this jobber Schlenk will be anything more than a place holder until the owner sells the team to new ownership that will then fire him and replace him with another thrifty poker face GM that gets its handed to him by other teams.

That's what all these teams think that are on the lottery treadmill, and instead of getting LeBron and Curry, they get Anthony Bennett and Ben McLemore.
