Official Game Thread: Hawks at Bulls

Its somewhat interesting that the Bulls actually shot worse than we did (which is nothing for us to brag about) but we couldn't grab enough important boards. They out rebounded us by over twenty, pretty ridiculous. For those of us saying it will be a blast to watch this strategically poor ass season I'll say last night was not a pretty example of fun. Believe ugly as sin is more accurate.

Delaney is so horrible i stopped yelling at my tv...I just shake my head and give him a blank stare whenever he touches the ball. Dude is so so so horrible !

Lol damn you Schlenk ! Delaney is part of the tank scheme isn’t he??? Well you surely signed the right guy.

We can thank the mastermind Wes Wilcox for the gift of Delaney.

To keep some healthy flames going bashing our point guard play the backup point guard/hybrid guard for the Bulls had a double double in twenty three minutes against us. He was playing in his twenty fourth NBA game and it was still just so easy for him. Yeah I wonder why, not really?

The team could have rebuilt and fielded a competitive team.

This is nothing but a 76ers style tank job.

And for the millionth time. The sixers are going to be a contender. Soon. You just have to be patient. At least they have a much better fanbase that actually had fun with the process.

The 76ers are not and will not be contenders soon.

They have two guys that are going to be top flight super stars and are playing like all stars already. Players are going to want to play there. They are set.

The 76ers are 1-4 with almost the same point differential as this shitty Hawks team, but they are going to be contenders soon!!  The 76ers are the great white hope for the pro tanking crowd, but here we are 6 years into their rebuild, and they still suck.

They've got young, big names though. Like it or not, that's what you need. It's sort of a recruiting tool. If Paul Millsap and Al Horford were bigger names even if they were the same level of talent, then the Hawks would be in much better shape.

....and they just drastically overpaid for one of their "big names" who has played a total of 41 games in 3 years.  Their other "big name" can't shoot and is a poor defender.  The latest #1 overall draft pick big name shoots so poorly they have tried to change the way he shoots, and now he has fluid building up on his shoulder.

Or how about the Timberwolves and their 12+ years of no playoffs/lottery picks?  They were supposed to challenge the established order of the Western Conference this year.  They just gave a monster contract to the much overhyped Andrew Wiggins.  Yet, here they are, 2-3 with close to a -10 point differential.

Timberwolves were bad, but were able to attract free agents because of their young talent. Jimmy Butler was a trade, but there's no way he would have been okay with being traded there if he didn't want to be there. He's also played 3 game this season and they've won two of them.

Just admit that you want to see NBA basketball as college football, where being even decent is celebrated big time instead of looked down on. Because being even decent is looked down on big time in today's NBA.

It's you're going for championships or you suck big time in the NBA even if you're a decent team that ***plays hard and plays the right way***, and it's not considered "oh you have a chance in the NBA if you're in the playoffs!" unless every superstar team has an absolute disaster.

I just want to see better basketball players come into the league than the shit that has been getting picked with high draft picks recently.

Exactly. The Wolves gave up a lot to get Butler and every game he doesn't play is a game where the team is hurt by that loss. It also is killing them that Jeff Teague is playing on a Delaney level.
