Winning by 35 in Jacksonville is very, very nice but more so lets us know this is not a Ray Goff team or a "do not finish the drill" Mark Richt team. Fan of both those guys for various reasons but we have the right coach and the right approach right now am pretty sure. Plus a fast as daylights defense. A good day to be a Dawg on this Saturday. Hope everyone makes it home safely, no matter what state you live in.

Hey look...the second year jump that I've been talking about that happens happened again. It never fails, unless your coach is a total bust you'll see a second year jump at top tier schools in NCAAF and mostly anywhere in pro sports.

Once again, the biggest question will be the following years but it's interesting to see the differences that have been talked about. Aaron Murray said that Mark Richt was telling them to be ready for a "battle" in all games (especially SEC games) while Kirby Smart is instilling an attitude that every game is going to be us sucking the life out of the other teams. And we've all heard about the practices. I disagree a little that you can use it with positional battles on offense, but definitely with defense and definitely with making things tougher than the games.

UGA #1 in the first playoff rankings. Doesn't mean a lot, but it does mean UGA sits in the driver seat for getting into the post-season. Just win out- then see what happens in the SEC championship.

If Alabama and Georgia win out, it will be a fascinating situation for the loser.  If UGA loses, their only loss will be to the #1 team and their best win could be on the road over a top 4 team.  I.e., they will have a better win or loss than any one-win team but the politics of booting a conference champ for another conference's runner-up will be really hard to overcome.

It's already a scenario where if it's 12-0 vs 12-0, there's a pretty good chance the loser makes it anyway. Not a 100% chance, but somewhere in between 60-70.

That scenario is going to suuucccccckkkkkk for Georgia though honestly. If Fromm is able to play composed and complete a few deep balls, similar to 2012 Georgia has a very real shot at Alabama but...

1. If Georgia has to beat Alabama twice, the second time isn't happening.
2. If Georgia loses a close/competitive game, the next game wouldn't be competitive.
