Admin capstone21 Posted February 22, 2018 Admin Report Share Posted February 22, 2018 Should this be the guy we should be considering? Looks like the total package with ability to score / hit the three and an extremely mobile defender. I am starting to like him more then Bagley ... deandre ayton is still my first pick but the second pick is pretty much up in the air.
davis171
If we went with him 5-7 I'd be happy I still like Ayton Doncic Porter Bamba more. Bagley is a turnstile on defense but has the tools to be better on defense so idk about him.
Royjr9
Really been high on him. Swiss Army knife kinda guy.

Moderators AHF Posted February 22, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted February 22, 2018 If we get him, I hope he is better than I expect from what I've seen. I've seen a guy that reminds me of Myles Turner who is a good player that may never make an All-Star game. I would definitely prefer him to Young and probably Porter. In the conversation with Bamba. Would not want him at #2 today. That sub-12 ppg and sub-6 rpg production makes me shudder a bit. The blocks are stellar and the range of skills is very nice.

He reminds me of a taller version of Marvin Williams. That's not a knock either. I'm not sure I grab him with picks 1-4.

Lurker
Don't completely love but would take over some of the more hyped prospects in the draft, and I'm not here to argue, but it's just my opinion... Like if Ayton or Doncic is available and this is the guy taken, I'll be mad. Funny thing is, a certain someone argues that you can't project, and then says he is the best big in the draft class. How do you know? All you can do with JJJ is project.
DBac
I like JJJ’s upside a lot. Can’t say that too loud because every time I like a prospect they end up falling off a cliff soon after.

He's the college version of Draymond Green. He can shoot the three with efficiency on a high volume. He is the best defensive big in this draft, BY FAR. He has flashed the ability to not only attack close outs but also take defenders off the dribble. He has shown some capabilities as a passer on the move. I'd like to see better rebounding numbers from him overall, but he's my #2 player in this draft.
jy23
So we would be tanking for Draymond Green? God the craziness in here never ceases to amaze me lol
Lurker
I see Myles Turner with better defense. And truthfully, Myles Turner himself is one of the best players of his draft class (he'd go top 5 in a redraft), over the more "hyped" players of it...which sadly firms up the point of a lot of the hyped players bust because they don't "grow and develop enough" before the NBA. KB21
I'd rather have Draymond Green than Andrew Wiggins. It really hurts the pro tanking crowd when you point out the fact that the three best players who have been drafted since 2010 were taken with the 15th pick (Kawhi Leonard), 30th pick (Jimmy Butler), and 35th pick (Draymond Green). DBac
He's nothing like Draymond outside of being a great defender. Offensively they have completely different games.

Kyrie Irving(1st pick), and Anthony Davis(1st pick) are just as good as Kawhi Leonard..Boogie Cousins(5th pick)is better than Draymond Green..And Paul George(10th pick) is just as good as Jimmy Butler..Then theirs Damien LIllard, Klay THompson, Ben Simmons, Embiid, etc.....Plenty of great players were found in the lottery since 2010...... terrell
Id take Kyrie or AD over Draymond GReen all day long...Not even close imo..And Leonard benefits from Pops system. Theyre playing just as well without him... Edited February 25, 2018 by terrell
