And this is coming from a Lions ? fan since 89....I’ve known some ? coaches and can spot them. You guys got one on ur hands. Fire ? the guy today! He has his faults, but he's also won more playoff games in 3 seasons than the Lions have won in 60.

The prevent defense when up 2+ scores invariably leads to a nail biting last second play. I'm starting to look at DQ with a side eye. I'm starting to look at DQ as if he is Mike Smith. Moderators PSSSHHHRRR87 Posted October 8, 2018 Author Moderators Report Share Posted October 8, 2018 Worse defense in the league and you can't blame injuries. This team is a mess and our lack of depth and not drafting defense is being exposed. We better spend our first 5 picks on defense and offensive line in 2019.
Gray Mule
PITIFUL !! This Falcon team is like the old car joke. "Bad engine. The carburetor won't carb, the spark plugs won't spark and the pistons won't work either!" The pitiful defense blames it on injuries. OK. You have injuries so that means that all your backup defensive players are no good. And, since some starters are out, it's impossible for the defensive coaches to scheme and plan anything. Now, what's the excuse for the offense? Poor Matty Ice was put on his backside so often that the seat of his pants turned green. Was all that his fault? Did he keep holding the ball, waiting for the lick? Come on - - PITIFUL !!
Moderators PSSSHHHRRR87 Posted November 7, 2018 Author Moderators Report Share Posted November 7, 2018 Quote Bruce Irvin signs with hometown Falcons, reunites with Dan Quinn The chance to play for his hometown Atlanta Falcons was too much for Bruce Irvin to pass up. Less than a week after being released by the Oakland Raiders, Irvin signed a one-year contract Wednesday with the Falcons. Irvin, a former first-round draft pick, told ESPN's Vaughn McClure that he rejected more-lucrative offers from the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers. Financial terms of his deal with the Falcons have not been disclosed. "This was a dream [come] true," the veteran pass-rusher told McClure. "The Patriots and Steelers offered more money, but being able to play for my city and my people -- you just can't put a price on that." Irvin, who was born in Atlanta and went to high school in nearby Stone Mountain, Georgia, echoed those sentiments later Wednesday morning on Twitter. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25203934/atlanta-falcons-sign-bruce-irvin-1-year-deal-reunite-veteran-pass-rusher-dan-quinn Every time I hear this guy mentioned:
Gray Mule
Close - - But Cowboys prevail. Too much "no offense" by the birds. This loss means the end of any hopes of the wild card. At least, they will not suffer being embarrassed in the playoffs. Matty Ice can't.
Spud2nique
I’m sorry but the offensive coordinator, head coach have to go and Matt Ryan has to stop being weak. He needed 1 stinking yard and even Rodney Harrison said he needed to do a QB sneak and he didn’t. Come on man...damn...and what’s with not throwing it to Julio in the red zone. Just give the guy a chance to go and get it. This rant is coming from an equally pissed off ? Lions fan ?...I’m sick of rolling out my entire Lions memorabilia including wearing and changing lions jerseys at halftimes of Thanksgiving games for the last 30 years. Damn man get some consistency people. Rant over... but seriously cleaning house is needed. And we (Lions) we supposed to be the Patriots lite...yeeeeaaa right... ??♂️
Gray Mule
Big joke. Before the season began, this Falcon team was being mentioned as one of the favorites to go to the Super Bowl. Hah! The hated Saints and their old man QB showed that they were much better than Atlanta. They were giving him the glad tidings about all the TD passes this season with only one interception when the Falcons picked off a pass! That one play was the highlight of the entire evening for this Falcon fan. Returned for a TD but the refs wouldn't allow that. Bad. I have been a Falcon fan all their existence, from their pick of Tommy Nouvis (SP) to the present day. I have watched every Super Bowl from #1. Falcons have been there 2 times and lost both games. The last one let all the air out of their balloon and they still haven't recovered. Matty Ice looed like he was lost last night. Defense has been shattered by injuries. The offense was our strength with many, many talented recievers. But, the Falcons have an allergy to the red zone and the goal line. I'd cry if it would help. It won't. Falcons are just pitiful!

Thomas
Well its June of 2019 now and Matt has a very different and somewhat future based O-line now. Can we avoid 42 sacks this year and outscore most everyone else? Always watching.
Premium Member JayBirdHawk Posted June 6, 2019 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 6, 2019 The draft gotva low grade because we didnt draft hood ornaments.....that's ok, they needed to upgrade the trenches.

Yes indeed. Articles suggested Blank was way into TD's ear about the OL and TD delivered. Will be interesting to see if the Washington Huskie kid can start as soon as hoped. No question Lindstrom starts and probably for a decade. Matt not picking himself up after sacks will be good to see and will improve the playoff picture.
