The Braves rode six strong innings from starter Sean Newcomb and some alert baserunning from Ozzie Albies for a 4-1 win over the Giants on Monday that gave Atlanta its fourth win in five games. Dereck Rodriguez surrendered two of Atlanta's runs as the Giants' losing streak reached nine games. But he pitched capably, surrendering five hits in 6 1/3 innings to record his 13th quality start in 16 outings.
