I'm not saying he isn't a brilliant passer.  I'm just saying that I don't put him on the top tier of all-time greats.  So people like Kidd, Stockton, Magic, etc. are ahead of him for me.  BenHillBoy and I just disagree on that as he puts Kidd, Stockton, etc. below LeBron.

I put Trae ahead because I think he is way ahead of where LeBron was at the same age.  Comparing peak LeBron to 2019-20 Trae is close to me.  I don't think peak Trae will be close.

Ranking passers is not easy. You can't just go by assist numbers. Trae has a chance to be an time great passer for sure.

Agree.  Assist numbers are often driven as much by ball domination as actual passing acumen.  I see LeBron as being an all-time great forward in this department and better than most point guards he has competed against.  But not better than the all-time best passing points.

Assist requires the player receiving the pass to make his shot.  You gotta have some good shooting team mates to collect a bucket full of assists every game.

Well Len Butterfingers is gone so that helps out with several of those lost assists but as of right now Jones is still here I think, so....

Hope he is coordinating with the coaching staff.  This could end up with him needing to sit out in quarantine prior to joining the team.

Or he can get tested right?  Are the Hawks going to have formal, mandatory workouts?

He can get tested but I don't know if there still won't be a wait associated with a return from an uncontrolled environment:

And, furthermore, experts are saying that a negative test isn’t even 100% conclusive that you haven’t been exposed and aren’t currently carrying it at the time of the test.

“We don’t know how good these tests are in individuals who don’t have symptoms,” Dr. Emily Landon, a hospital epidemiologist and infectious diseases specialist at University of Chicago Medicine, tells NPR. “We know they’re pretty good at picking up COVID when it’s present in people who have symptoms. But we have no idea what a negative test means in an individual that doesn’t have symptoms.”

COVID-19 contagion takes at least three to five days after exposure to test positive

Definitely been people who tested negative and later retested positive.

This is interesting.  Probably better for the CV thread but it seems unlikely that you could be contagious and test negative.  And we also have asymptomatic people testing positive.  So much we don't know still i guess.

I think that is right but if you have the virus but it hasn't built up enough to generate a positive result or for you to become contagious then it is a pretty short ramp to you becoming contagious.  That is why a quarantine may be necessary when coming from an uncontrolled environment to a controlled environment.  And that may be 100% fine with the coaches.  I just hope he is in touch with them if playing in this setting because I'd assume they want to go back to practices, etc. as soon as possible.

I'm wondering.  Have we seen anything on this?   I'm guessing it's full on offseason for 8 teams and we won't see official practice until november.   But of course, i don't know anything 🙂

Seen some tweets on it but nothing suggesting they have any kind of plan right now.  Seems clear the priority has been the playoff proposal.
