But seriously, it was more Gobert than Mitchell I think.  UTA teams were good defensively without a lot of good individual defenders.  That's Gobert, not DM.

I only have one beef with this.  I don't think the issue is sQuint not being the coach for Trae.  I just don't think he's as good as advertised ... for anybody.  This ain't a Trae thang for me.

sQuint shld be an assistant coach in charge of development.  Let someone else do the in-game stuff.

True.  I just think Gobert was the infrastructure there that the whole thing was built on.  We lack it here.

I don't think that's it. There is no 'perfect'.

If we as fans see what needs to happen - why can't the coach.

It's about in-game adjustments.  Can't keep doing the same thing, can't keep trotting out the same lineup, can't keep defending the same, etc.

The guy's stats at home are far superior to his road stats.  People are saying it's because he feels better since he sleeps in his own bed (since he's still hurt).  Aren't we all aware that roleplayers always play better at home?  But that's not what this is, I guess?

It's also been said that the apparent back injury ... catch up, it's not the hammy now.. it's a back thing(?), is something he's dealt with his whole career.

So, to recap, Haliburton is GREAT for 2 months then he's hurt, but he's better enough to come back to play 65 games to qualify for supermax, but he's too hurt to be any good each night.  But it's still the hammy, a year later.  Only, spoiler alert, it's not the hammy.  It's the back.  But it's not a new injury so ... 

What are we doing?  Who else gets this many excuses?
