So you wouldn’t trade Capela, Hunter and Huerter for him?

In a fantasy world where that could happen - because, to be clear, that's not happening - even then I'd hesitate because he'd probably just put up half-arsed efforts until the next superteam spot opens up.

I'd rather trade that package for Ayton or *shudders* Towns.

Theoretically Ant 🐜 could play the 5 in the East but due to being weak and fragile and not available half the time it would mess up our rebuild no doubt. But imagine this:

Trae/Bogi/Cam/Collins/Ant 🐜

Bench: Okongwu, Gallo, Lou, Wright, Cooper, Johnson

In the East, when healthy, that’s tough to beat.

Ayton… ya.. I think

Town… I don’t want to. Lol. I just don’t want to.

Which Hot-Start-Honey is gonna fall back to Earf?  Usually you wait 'til about the quarter-pole for this but hey this is the ISE thread.  Stands for I Seen Enough, so here we go:

MIA - Eh I kinda think the injury/old-age bug will hit at some point but they are a solid team.  They'll likely hover around the same spot just due to being a professional effort team.

CHI - Same(ish) as above.  Pro-effort team, more solid than I gave them credit for.  Derozan is old but hasn't ever waned during the reg season, nor has Lavine.  Lonzo is super solid in his role.  They'll be fine.  Come playoff time, they're a wait 'n see team.  Derozan has a bad playoff rep for a reason.  No idea how Lavine/Lonzo will fare.  Vuc will be Vuc.  IOW, I'm not guaranteeing they'll be advancing, but they'll certainly be in barring a collapse.

WAS - Fugazy.  They'll slowly sink back where they belong (behind us).  How long before Ally mcBeal complains about ... somethin'?  Then he'll be back to making googly eyes at Tatum talkin' about how they wanna play with each other. 😏 Heh, that came out wrong ... or did it? 🤔

CLE - Paper tigers, sink's already started so I'm kind cheating on this one.  I think the grind will wear on them.  Old/bad habits will rear their heads.  Garland will do his best Lillllllr'd impression just jakin' up shots, not playing d.  emoLove may toss some fastballs at Sexton's head before he gets bought out.  As long as they don't get to play us (since they own us for some reason), they'll lose more than they win.

GSW - (long sigh) Ok, they're not gonna suck.  But I do think they'll sink back to the pack.  If Curry gets ding'd up, they'll fall a bit more.  They're gonna be solid until Klay returns.  They'll expect him to save them, then they'll realize he's no longer that player anymore.  Those days are over.  IIWII

Too much positivity in this post.  I'll make up for it in the next one though.

76ers Have List Of 30 Players They'd Accept In Ben Simmons Trade

NOV 18, 2021 11:22 AM

The Philadelphia 76ers have a list of approximately 30 players who would satisfy them in a trade of Ben Simmons and there's internal belief that approximately five to 10 of them could be available within the next year or two, a source tells Sam Amick of the Athletic

The list represents six percent of the league and is the rough equivalent to the number of All-Stars selected every season.

“This is like a multi-year thing,” a Sixers source said.

Simmons cannot become a free agent until 2025, which the 76ers believe gives them time to be patient.

Ok, enough of the positive(ish) stuff, let's dig into the fake-a** stars ...

Everybody talks about how the "new" rules have effected our guy but they ignore the fact that he's still an elite playmaker who's numbers haven't actually taken that big a dip.  Let's talk about the guys who have been impacted but who folks aren't talkin' about ...

Ally mcBeal - Guy almost won a scoring title last year.  Now's averaging about 24 ppg on 42% from the field 25% from 3.  I told y'all his game consisted of throwing himself into guys in the lane then crying for calls.  No idea why he escapes the 'foul-baiter' label.  Well now he's got nowhere to hide 'cause he ain't gettin' them calls.  "Oh his numbers are down a-cause he got good teammates now, kg"  Miss me with that noise.  Better teammates should equate to better shooting, no?  No.  Because his numbers are dipping because he got no plan B.

the Maverick - Speaking of averagin' around 24 points on 42or so % shooting and around mid-20% from 3, that's exactly where the maverick is.  I'm sure the league will resume allowing him to cry-plain (that's cry and complain, keep up) into calls.  Especially now that they don't have Zion to market around .. and it's certainly round but that's another ISE post ... anyway, the Maverick will be fine but let's not pretend like he's not getting impacted by the swallowed whistle.

Harden - Eh, that's been done.  We all get that one, so I'm not rehashing them hashbrowns.

Damian Lillllllr'd - Another notorious foul-bait guy who folks chose not to diminish.  Guy used to get paraded to the line like our guy but folks decided to make him a top75 player.  Like ... how?  Why?  Numbers and impact way down.  Most people are shocked.  Not I.  I kept tellin' ya'll there's a reason he's always having to heave hail mary's at the ends of games.  It's because they're always losin'.  And now he can't walk to the FT line to get his efficiency.  Uh oh, being an undersized guard with questionable athleticism don't work quite so well with no plan B, huh?

Randle - What's wrong with Julius Randle?  Why's he not dominating?  Uh, it's 'cause he was never that good in the first place.  And now he's not getting escorted to the line all the time so he resorts to his Hawks' playoff game plan.  You remember it.  The deer-in-head-lights guy playing the part of a bad shooting 2guard floating around the perimeter?  Well, that's his regular season look now too.  Have fun with that Knick-fans.

Whew, felt good to get that all out.

As a funny aside, the guy Simmons would probably thrive under these rules knowing he's not likely to have to go to the FT line.  haha

NBA radio 📻 now… El Amin and Zack.  These shows aren’t that great to me. This is the best NBA radio can do?

Kam and Antonio.. and Isola. And Sam Mitchell.. more of them please..No more Joel Meyers or Zack or Amin.

Sam Mitchell is great.  Shoots it straight.  And loves the Hawks.  What more can you ask for?  Lionel Hollins used to be good too, for the same reasons.  Can't remember if he liked the Hawks but he certainly didn't pull any punches.

ETA: One guy I don't miss is that Tom Byrne guy who's a Philly homer, through and through.

Used to constantly talk about how the 'process' worked now that the 6ers have JoeLLLL and Simmons.  Always talked about how being a team in the middle "like the Hawks" was NBA purgatory, worse than being lotto.  I bet his face felt super crunchy last postseason.  Especially when he realized the Hawks had been to the ECF twice before the Processors had even made it once.
