But that is exactly what you want when rookies struggle out of the gate.  For them to improve on their weakness as the season progresses:

1st 5 games (October) of his NBA career - 1-18 from 3 for 5.5%
12 games in November: 12-43 for 27.9%
Last 5 games (December) : 11-28 from 3 for 39.3%

How do you not appreciate that?

The December shooting is a bit skewed because most of it was in that one game against Brooklyn.

Lol, so when he has awful games, is that not skewed either? Like I said, some of you need to think before you speak.

Right now we are seeing him get closer to his college percentages from 3 and his estimated pro percentages is very high and not too far from what Klay was projected to have. Give him time. As I said early in the season, he will go to his expected norm in time. His offensive metrics went up a full point this month. Sadly, his defensive metrics went down .7 points after yesterday's game where Cam got abused on the screens. By far his worse defensive game this season along with LAC.

44 FG% and 39% from three and an over 50 TS is positive. The negative is his defense v. Chicago and his free throw shooting this month (58.3).

Yeah, people can't have it both ways.

Bad game: Aw, Cam sucks.

Good game: Aw, small sample size.

Silly.

They need 3 point shooting.

Teague for Crabbe.

Teague is still essentially their #1 PG despite coming off the bench. He is averaging 30 mins a game 14ppg and 7apg for an 18.1PER.

Now compare that to what Crabbe offers.

Like I said, Minny is trying to make the playoffs and if they get rid of Teague they will be looking for something that makes them better not worse. Now, if Minny starts dropping like a stone in the standings then maybe they will be looking to get whatever they can get for a Teague rental, though in that specific context it will still be tough to get Teague on a fair value deal as Minny would have no real incentive to take on any bad contracts or scrub players for Teague since the cap relief they will get by retaining Teague is pretty valuable in and of itself.

This. It doesn't change the fact we need to trade for one but we clearly need to draft one.

No way Im passing on Cole, Lamelo, RJ if we fall out of the top 2. Nope. No offense Trae. lol

Trae is better than all of them.

Has nothing to do with it..We need another pg BAD..For when tRae goes off the floor...(see Luka/Brunson) PLus When Trae's shot is off, hes'  pretty limited because of his size., and his defense is so bad. Need to bring in a vet pg who can defend also...

We certainly need another ballhandler.  However, anyone drafted in the top 10 carries the expectation of being more than backup/secondary guy.  That's the problem.

Lu*a/Brunson works because Brunson wasn't supposed to be more than a roleplayer.  Cole/Lamelo will arrive in the league with expectations ran exceeding what Brunson is saddled with.

You had a great point until you listed these two.  I wouldn't follow anything the Cavs are doing.

I was just sayin. Its possible to draft another pg early in the draft. lol. TRae/Lamelo  is waaaaay better duo than those 2 also..lol

If we get a top 3 pick Anthony Edwards and Lamelo will be top priority.  Anthony Edwards is what the Hawks need.  He'll demand double teams and no way in hell any team will double team Trae to leave that beast going 4 on 3 with space in the half court.  He also has great defensive ability.

ATL kid going to the Hawks. Story writes itself.  He'll rep ATL so hard.
