Yep.  I noticed that, when Trae went out, team didn't fall apart.  Parker, Collins and Reddish were all out and the entire Hawk team went right on, as if everything was fine!  Goodwin may not be great but, know this, he ain't bad...

Side note:  Anyone heard anything about Bruno?

It's funny, since he's been called up, the second unit has played tons better while the Hawks have played some good defensive teams.

Figure if Goodwin can manage an even +/- backing up Trae or close to it then we are good.

It keeps the other players (Huerter and Bembry especially) in their natural positions and they can play to their strengths.

If they want to sign another 2way player they have until tomorrow to do it.

He has ~20+ days left on his 45 NBA days so they don't have to until it's about the expire in just under a month.

I appreciate Goodwin when he enters.  Floor game and physicality at the PG position is scarce over here.

It is a no-brainer to sign him to another one.  IMO, then a no-brainer to give him a real NBA deal.

Also of Note, in TS's radio interview he noted that BG would have been with the NBA team sooner if he was healthy in oreseason and to start the season. They wanted to get him some GL games under his belt before they brought him up permanently. (I think they were also hoping punch face would fill the backup PG role, then BG would be up after we get rid of him at the trade deadline)

I’m surprised I had to resurrect this thread with the fan club lol.

Love the kid tho.  I just focused on him during the replay, kid wants to win and does the hard stuff outside the stat sheet that translates to Ws.  Stayed attached to Lou off the ball, using a crafty arm lock when needed and cut off his passing lanes with active arms.  Pressed him in the backcourt and even denied a couple times.  Put a body on Harrell on a Hawks rebound. Properly yelled at Cam to immediately return the ball to him for a reset for his last bucket.  The quickness, nice pacing, streaky 3 point shooting, and clutch FT shooting don’t do anything for me without the off ball and defensive toughness.
 

I can definitely see him having a Kendrick Nunn-type impact with a 107 offensive rating and 110 defensive with steady minutes.  There’s no way Jeff and his no floor game having ass should be ahead of him.  
 

It may finally be time for me to end my Bembry fandom.  I’m positive we won tonight in part because his ass didn’t play lol.

Jeff should be ahead of him but both should get PT. This will be good for Trae's health. He is being ran into the ground this year. We need 3 PGs.

Seems we run more with Goodwin at point. He pushes the pace. We have these athletic wings and JC - we should pick up the pace some.
