Not only that Capela has a team friendly contract for next several seasons relative to what starting NBA centers are going for in today's market. can extend John and Trae, and add another key piece as well

@NBASupes you were wondering how the Hawks did the trade with a full roster?  They are apparently waiving Nene.  I believe that makes the deal work.

I do have one ☝ question here. With the acquisition of Capela, who sits between Huerter, Cam and Hunter? We know Trae and Collins are the two starters with Clint.

Even if they waive him, they have to waive someone else to get him. My guess is Graham. Cheapest contract with the least value

Could this be why they’re working on a Goodwin Multi year deal? Maybe release him from the roster (does he have to clear waivers on his two way?) complete the trade. Release Nene and then sign Goodwin back to a contract? 
 

I’m no expert at this, how off base am I? haha

Hey, I’m not saying he has sources or he doesn’t. All I’m saying is he puts in the work on squawk and has passion about it. Hard to hate on that.

Goodwin can't be sign without a spot open. We have a full roster. I am still trying to figure out this trade but as far as I am concerned. Idc, we got Capela BABY!

Goodwin is still on the 2-way contract, at least as far as I'm aware, so he doesn't count against the 15 slots.
