It's nice to be the beneficiaries of another team's issues for once. Capela isn't the best center in the world, but he's great value for a non-lottery pick. His contract gives us stability we wouldn't have had with the other options without being too bloated. We just need him to get healthy and our wings to make some progress over the next 9 months and we're back in the playoffs. The bench needs to be improved as well, but that won't be difficult. And we still have a lottery pick incoming. Not too shabby.

Its a "beautiful day" this morning. Very excited for when Clint will be ready to get on the floor for us. The bonus is the grumbling to the media by Turner will be from another address and won't negatively affect our locker room. Couple of big birds with one stone. What a heavyweight trade for us.

Lost wifi Monday afternoon and suffered mightily not knowing what was going on Tuesday. It magically returned sometime overnight last night and wake up to Capela being a Hawk. A very nice reward for not having internet for more than a day I will say.

You're not lying. He should be slowly worked into the lineup after his foot is fully healed so he can get a little acclimated to playing with Trae, Collins, et al.

Chelsea Lane will get him right. I think Houston wanted him back sooner, the Hawks can afford to let him recover slowly. They have been cautious with our players.

I hate to be thinking this but him being out awhile keeps our lottery position intact. 

Just hope this doesn't turn into a Theo Ratliff situation...

No need to play him too much, he can chill for as long as needed.  He needs to go house hunting.  I have a feeling we will do what it takes to subtly maintain decent odds in the lottery.  A deal like this really allows us to go BPA instead of targeting, say, a big man.  Or, of course, packaging the pick in a much bigger deal if the opportunity comes along.

Woke up to good news.   What is wrong with his foot?  I'm sure its not something serious just wondered.

The Hawks may not be done. There is still Jabari Parker ( 6.5 million player option ) and Alex Lens ( 4.1 million ) team friendly contracts left on the books. I doubt they move Teague ( 19 million expiring ) or Parsons ( 25.1 million expiring ) contracts, they are keys to them staying cap friendly.

I don't hate this move for any of the teams and think more could be on the way for Houston and Minnesota. I am thrilled the Hawks got a starting center. Collins can eventually go back to power forward and just as important, they can stop playing DeAndre Hunter at power forward. I think Schlenk is a **** genius to pull this off and still keep the Hawks in cap friendly heaven.
