News flash. They aren't good defensively. The fact that they were competitive proves they gave good effort even though they aren't very good.

Down by 7 with a minute left, Nique says "it's anyone's game." Yesterday up by 1 with 3:30 left Nique says "Hawks have complete control of this game." Is somebody going to tell him?

I could understand a -21 for Trae had Augustine played, but a +21 for Fultz?!  That type of negative box impact is just insane when you’re putting up more stat points than minutes every night man.

They should have won the game in regulation last night, but they didn’t because they can’t defend.

It’s their own fault that they ended up playing so many minutes.

I would more sympathetic to the B2B situation if they didn’t play like this repeatedly.

The effort on defense wasn’t there overall.

Agreed. Using the same defense all game is not a great option. Mix in some zone. Some trapping. Some...surprise isn’t your enemy on defense. Keep them guessing. Keep them honest.

We were mostly getting beat up on the glass when we went small with Collins at center and Vince at power forward.
