Official Game Thread: Hawks at Magic

Some thoughts from last night's game:

Hawks didn't - couldn't stop those three point shots by our foe.  They were killing us from down town.

Trae was showing how tired he was.  I believe he tried too many deep, deep threes.  Goodwin wasn't tired from prior night's game but he didn't get many minutes.  Should have gotten more.

Strange, troubling stats from the game.  On the (+) (-) stats - every starter had a (-) rating and every sub had a (+) rating.

Cam coming back was good.  As he sat out, he had the opportunity to watch and learn.  Looked like he was ready for more time and more getting things done.

Hopefully, after a night off, Hawks will go to Cleveland and close out our before all star break with a victory.  Then, with a few extra time between games, our injured players will be ready to play.  We are all looking forward to seeing our new guys on the floor.

GO ATL HAWKS !!

Your definitely right about us running out of gas late. Way too many minutes in two nights. The other guys scoring more than forty in the fourth rubbed a good bit of salt in it

Did Teague get hurt?   I was honestly hoping for Goodwin late in the fourth.  Trae was playing predictably at times and running out of gas you could tell.

Trae got hot in the part where you would rest him. The issue is he got cold late but he wasn't coming out by that point

BG getting 6 minutes (and a +7) on the back end of a back to back after a 2OT is a head scratcher.

We might have to reconsider the Trae and Kevin pairing. You can have one bad defender, but you can't have two.

Believe that with witnessing Cams' improvement just in recent weeks alone we should be able to go with Trae and Cam as our starting backcourt first game next season and keep it that way.

I think in due time Kevin will be relegated to be the shooter off the bench. Cam and Hunter are the starting wings.
