He seems to have lost a step or two.  Wasn’t impressed with his play since the return

we need a backup who can defend ... still want Kris Dunn

Or three..

I think we could do better but we have done worse recently too.  I mostly don’t want him back on more than a one year deal.  I don’t mind overpaying for that one year but I see him on a pretty significant decline.

I am in the boat to bring him back for one year and draft our backup PG of the future in the 2nd round

Who are the guys at #50?

Or will we need to move up in the mid 30s-40's?

And where does Goodwin fit in the mix?

Yeah, we would need to pay our way up the draft board. 50 isn't going to cut it.

We should be able to buy a 2nd from the team with multiples if we can't trade for one.

The issue here is ability.   For a BU PG... to a young star PG, you don't really want to bring in a player who has no experience being a starting PG.   You want starter quality.. not need to be trained quality to BU Trae.

Teague,  Augustin, Reggie Jackson, or Trae Burke.....

or

Rondo or Dragic...

are guys that should be in the conversation.
