Danilo Gallinari Signs with Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to sign Danilo Gallinari to a three-year contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Gallinari spent last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder and will now look to help the Hawks battle into the postseason.

Gallinari will earn $61.5 million over the course of three years but the stretch big has always been expected to be one of the prime targets in free agency. Gallinari put up 18.7 points on .407 shooting in 2019-20.

We got Danilo so let's keep big game hunting. Playoffs here we come. I'm very comfortable with his contract because we might need it to match the contract of a bigger piece in the future.

Don’t forget the reason that we have money to spend is we have so many players on their first contract. We need to bring in some veteran talent that knows how to win with that extra money.

Arguably, he has been better scoring these last two seasons than he has ever been in his career.  I’m pumped to get him even for his age 32-34 seasons.  Good shooting usually sustains in that age range.

Suped up version that not only serves as a bench scorer but can space, facilitate, and create with the starters without being a black hole.

I'm not so sure about this signing.  Defense sucks, Rebounding and play making skills are mediocre but can shoot. 26 mil over 3 years?  Hmmm!  How many minutes does he play per game?
