1. A lot of dumb line ups from LP  i.e. Collins/Gallo front court combos or Rondo/Dunn back court combos

2. Collins still playing more center than he needs too

3. The team will struggle with its offensive Identity early

4. Turn overs will still be a problem especially early

5. Some line ups will be very good defensively while others will not be and Lloyd will favor the worst defensive line ups

6. The Hawks will be a much improved rebounding team

7.  The Hawks will not win as many game as we have the potential to win but will win over 50% of their games and make the playoffs

8. John Collins will join Trae Young in the all star game

9. Okungwu might get the Bruno treatment.

Playoffs aren't going to be as easy as people think imo....We'll be better, but so will a few other teams in the East Unexpectedly......That's just how it goes in Atlanta......smh

I think we win 40 games, 5th place on the east.

Trae Young replicates last year numbers, make all star team. Collins averages 20/10, is considered for all star team.

Bogi, Gallo and Rondo prove to be good additions for the team.

Capela becomes top 3 Center on the east.

Cam continue to growth in line with last months showing. He will have his ups and downs.

Hunter and Huerter fail to meet expectations, playing time decreased and poor growth in comparison with last year.

Okongwu show flashes of been good player on games that Gallo misses.

Losing more games than we win to open the season.

Then it gets better as the players become a team.

Expecting to make the playoffs.  Hoping for home court, 4th place or better.

Covid 19 meds become available and fans come back, full force.

Another trade un expected comes up and Hawks do it.

Both 2 way players get to play.  Injuries rear their ugly head.

Youth come thru and Hawks end the season hot, on a winning streak.

Some basic observations.

1. 2 of the following Cam, Hunter, Huerter, BB will have to come off the bench and will be getting set up by Rondo. Whoever those 2 are, expect monster numbers as they feast against bench players.

2. Lighter workloads mean less injuries (cross my fingers, throw salt over my left shoulder, spit in my hands and rub).

3. We will still get beat up by teams with bigger front courts.

Its a 72 game season so 50 wins is a huge stretch. I'll be happy with 6th in the East and a 1st round upset.

The reason why I said all star in our head or our mind is because their will be no ASG due to COVID

Will they be making All-Star selections?  I believe some players get bonuses in their contracts if they make the team.

I'm glad @NBASupes is keeping his expectations in check!

😂

I am expecting a 7 seed this year.

If we somehow make the jump higher, I will be extremely happy, but not expecting it. The core is still very young, and it's gonna take some time for these flavors to marinate. The coaches and players need to gel with the new additions, all while the young guys are still growing physically and learning their way in the league. All this without the benefit of full camp/summer league/preseason to work through the kinks before it gets real.

I don't trust CLP to maximize the talent on the roster. He will be just okay. He will do well enough that they should make the playoffs with the talent we have, but not take them as far as they could go. Hopefully Nate helps more.

8 seed will be tolerable, but not ideal. Missing playoffs will be a failure.

Next year is when I expect to really see this team making some noise in the playoffs, with an eye on ECF or better the following years as Trae, JC, Cam, & co. mature as players and develop long term chemistry.

This seems like the most realistic outcome. Even with all of that I think we will nab one of the low end playoff spots. Pierce has to prove to me he can coach, last year he was dreadful, and I know he didn't have anything to work with but still, it doesn't excuse his boneheaded decisions. Maybe he learns from his mistakes and if he does I think we can be a five-three seed. I agree with Okunguw, he's 19 we have a shortened offseason. Gallo and Bruno will be the primary backups at PF and C and, yes, looking at the roster and projecting minutes it's clear we will see at least 8-10 minutes a game of Collins at center.
