Very light travel schedule for us but man, a lot of games. We got a good schedule, quality mixed with lottery teams.

This.  So much of this.  

It isn't just a disrespect to Atlanta.  It is a disrespect to MLK.  This is his city.  The one with his museum.  The one where his church is still a vital part of the city's identity and spiritual community.  And you continue to emphasize his assassination over his life?

That is like celebrating the Ford theater over the Gettysburg address.

They are trying to create a Luka / Trae rivalry ...

The national games are on NBATv but at least there are 4 games ... why would you want national commentators when you can hear 'heat check' all night

With 14 games out of the 37 games released by the NBA being back-to-backs, 38 percent of the Hawks’ games in the first half of the season is going to come back-to-back nights. That’s going to be a challenge.

Toughest stretch

This is a brutal stretch for the Hawks that could be the defining games during the first half of the season:

Home against Philadelphia then on the road for three games against Phoenix, Utah and Portland. The Hawks will then have two games against Minnesota and Detroit, which will then be followed by a stretch against Milwaukee, the LA Clippers, Brooklyn, Washington, the LA Laker, Dallas (twice), Utah and Toronto.

That and they just want to be able to bring up the trade as much as possible in front of as many viewers as possible.

Narrative alert: Luka is the "face", Trae is the "heel" for my wrestling fans. They only want to beat up on Trae and will paint the matchup as such. If the Mavs lose they will still praise Luka. If we lose but Trae has a great game, we still lost the trade to them. Even if Luka has a bad game, wont matter. We lost the trade. We can't win to them, even if we win on the court.
